I used the new Eternal Heirloom Armor Casing on my Orb of Voidsight, and it accepted the upgrade and shows 2/2, but the stats and ilvl have not changed.
The stats are very low at level 51 showing only +16 Int, and buff proc of 32.
The buff proc is also wrong as the buff proc only provided me with 18 to Crit, haste, and Mastery according to Details, but the buff icon it self says its giving me 21.

Can this be looked into and worked on?
They aren’t scaling with the new heirloom upgrades, very similar to how they originally didn’t scale with BFA’s upgrades. On a lvl 60 toon, the Demonbane trinkets are still ilvl 60. The buff shows an incorrect value for me, however it does give the item tooltip value, which is still 32 on my lvl 60 toon. Hopefully the team can apply whatever fix they had to last time and get this taken care of with relative ease.
Yeah, I hope it get’s fixed relatively soon. It was a bit of a bummer to have spent the 5k gold on the upgrade token only to find out later that it doesn’t scale like the rest of the heirloom items.
I tested this on all the warlords of draenor trinkets including the void tendril one. The tendril upgraded completely fine just like the hand of justice trinkets. Every single demon bane trinket was 5k wasted as not a single one scales past 50 as OP said. Can’t get your gold back in a ticket as per gm “ but please keep in mind that there are mechanics in place to help players avoid making mistakes like this, such as the 2h vendor refund timer (when you equip, enchant, upgrade, or transmog an item) “ even though the reason it doesn’t work isn’t my fault…
I do wonder what is the cause of this bug. The Garrosh weapons scale with the new upgrades and they too are heirlooms that are no longer obtainable in the game. So it cannot be that factor on its own.
I imagine they just forgot to add it to the code and only gave it an upgrade cost, should be an easy fix…should
This is blizzard though. Takes them on average 6 months to fix an easy bug. Mostly because they like to deny that it even exists.
GM replied to me " A level 50 character will not getting the bonus when they are higher than the level cap of the item, this is working as intended."
Almost feel like if they’re going to make this work like this there should be a disclaimer or not allow it to be upgraded past 50…
Personally I have found that GM’s completely miss what the point of the ticket is. Like,
doesn’t say anything. If it is working as intended, why is there the option of upgrading them? And if it can be upgraded to work from 1-59, why is it hard capped at level 50? What is wrong about allowing them to scale to level 59? Why only single out the WoD trinkets and not other heirlooms like the Garrosh ones?
This is what I meant before when blizzard prefers to deny a bug exists than actually admit there is a bug.
Blizzard need to fix this now or give me my gold back. There was zero indicator it wouldn’t act like all the other heirlooms BEFORE you’ve used the item to upgrade and destroying it so you CAN’T sell it back before 2hrs. What a pile of rubbish that GM gave Akhkjnpqwe. Typical.

Items and Rewards
This still seems to be an issue with scaling from at least levels 51-54 again as I have MANY characters peppered throughout those levels. On my level 58 & 60s, it did scale properly but everything in between these trinkets are scaling lower than their counterparts. For example, the druid that I am posting from is using an Orb of Voidsight at level 51 and it is scaled to item level 80 whereas all my other heirlooms are scaling to item level 98. All the limited time WoD dungeon trinkets do this, when used 1-50 they are always 2 item levels higher than the rest of heirlooms not 18 item levels less.
Still scaling lower from 51-60. This should still scale higher then the others, as it’s always been from 1-50.
I am level 50 and my heirlooms are not working correctly. I am only using 2 right now (Grand staff of jordan) and (Banded gilnean cloak). Both are fully paid for and showing 5/5 (1 to-59) . however my ilevel is only 58. It should be an ilevel of 90 or higher not 58. (submitted as bug 8/30/22) Update (8/30/22): as soon as I hit 51, both ilvls went up to 98
