This thing sucks, it looks lame and it ruins my mog.

Can we please have a turn it off button?

thanks!

Sorry to hear that

I second this.

It also makes the cooler eye-colours redundant, and clashes with some head-pieces and glasses.

Yeah it’s honestly a very odd decision for them to make it a permanent and unavoidable side effect of using the hero spec.

It clashes with most transmogs and doesn’t make sense on most characters. It’s a big reason why I can’t really bring myself to use Oracle much. I’d really really appreciate some way to turn the effect off.

I like it a lot.

Just play Archon and Voidweaver depending on spec, my guy. Oracle’s nice, but the difference isn’t that big.

That said, I’d be in favor of a ‘turn off visuals’ button.

I think abilities like this while cool in nature, are much like Shadowform and should be relegated to cosmetic effects. While I like the idea behind it and the visuals, I know some such as the OP do not; and so feel that an accommodation should be made in this case like so many others.

I am sure there’s plenty of people who would love to play Balance as a Humanoid Druid ala Malfurion for example. Moonkin form and Glyph of Stars simply don’t do it in those cases. This is why I feel certain spells like Shadowform, Oracle Eyes, Moonkin Form etc.; should be strictly cosmetic abilities for those who want it.

Seems like they spend entirely too much time focused on Season of Discovery, and not enough on the actual retail game that started it all. It might be a different matter if the characters from SoD could transfer to live servers; but if they intend to have “separate” servers, as seems to be Blizzard’s and frankly inane current stance…

Then the most current version of the game, should have access to ‘everything’ SoD does, like the Thunderaan 1-hander.
