Optional DMG meter

I would like to advocate for a option that allows the individual player to decide if they want to be tracked by DMG Meters. These are tools that can be weaponized against players. I feel that players should have a option if they want to be tracked or not. We already allow players to hide information from 3rd party add ons. Lets take it a step further and allow players the choice of privacy.

Just disable it for yourself.

Most people were using them before now anyways :dracthyr_shrug:

No, if you suck I won’t keep you around.

I mean I’m probably never gonna use it. In return I would prefer a option that respects my privacy.

People can’t track it if you aren’t playing with them. If you put yourself into a situation with other people, expect them to observe you.

Sounds like a single player game would be best for you.

Why? Do you really want to never get better?

Go do delves then, you should never have the option to come make waste people’s time.

Blizzard has decided that how much damage you’re dealing is public information.

Most people apparently enjoy being bad. Too many clowns defending being bad is acceptable.

Because we needed a whole thread on your privacy conspiracy theroies.

As many of us have said in many other threads. Why do you need to hide yourself when you don’t participate in any kind of group content?
Matter of fact, you openly call people who participate in normal raids and higher “elitist scum”.

It’s not “privacy” when you are in a group.

Factual information that directly impacts everyone in that group isn’t something you can opt out of.

Casuals always insult people who like actually playing the game and clearing content, it’s nothing new. But it’s good you bring it up once more.

If it is an option to have your damage tracked, the only thing that will happen is that you will get kicked when you don’t appear on the group leader’s damage meter…

So is the damage meter forced to exist on the screen or can you just not have it enabled in edit mode options?

I have shown this meme to many of my friends when I try to explain that concept: https://www.reddit.com/r/LeagueOfMemes/comments/gt8x35/the_sad_state_of_tictactoe_solo_q_friend_sent_me/

Retail is becoming more and more like that sadly… good thing it seems mostly isolated to forum’s warriors.

People who care about getting better and improving tend to be on the game more than on the forums :dracthyr_a1: :+1:
