I would like an option that allows players to turn off random guild invitations, duels, trades, etc. This system can be implemented through a tab in the Character panel. I think this would be useful for other players who dislike random guild invites/duel spam.
There is an option to decline g invites in interface. The annoying part is them whispering you all the time asking you to join.
eyes OP
/duel me.
I get whispered for guild invite literally all the time. Those people are so annoying my goodness.
“Hi there! I see you are new and are not in a guild. Here at we are a casual/social guild, looking to expand our ranks and get into raiding and PvP! Please consider joining us!”

will solve your duel issue, there is an in-game setting for the guild.
Thank you, Taui and Lucidger
I’m fairly certain that trades can be auto-ignored by setting yourself to DND status (do not disturb). It may also apply to duels, but not sure.
Don’t just ignore those guild invites! Just make a macro for every one one of your abilities put a message into guild chat. Guaranteed they will remove you pretty quickly.
In addition to this, you can uses the Badboy addon with the Guilded plugin to block guild invite whispers.

One other answer to guild invite whispers; though it would take a bit of work first, would be to make your own private guild and put all of your characters in it. It would require a bit of effort on your part up front, but might be worth it in the long run.
You might have to advertise in trade for signatures and pay some folks though. Just let them know up front it’s just temporary and they’ll be booted as soon as you have it formed. I know a number of folks who do this for bank guilds and such like. (including myself)
Once you have the guild made, you can post an ad in guild finder and then switch to an alt, apply, then switch back to your GM main and accept the invite. That way you don’t need anyone else’s help to invite your alts.
Definitely a more involved solution, but the choice is yours.
The side benefit would be that you could purchase a guild bank for extra storage.
A bit of advice is to actually get into a guild. Even for a dead one. I can’t remember if ranks for guilds are still in effect but being in one helps give yourself hearthstone cooldown reduction and mounted movement speed increases. Just across the board utilitarian upsides and allows you miss out on stupid spam.
Very much this. All my toons are in my own guild banks which end up becoming active guilds because people want a nice quiet guild they can relax in.
You can already block duels and guild invites in the options.

You’re welcome!
1, Blocks random guild invites
2. Blocks all incoming chat channel invites
And the one above #1 blocks trades, though you would have to unclick to accept Trades you want.
I get somewhere between 15 and 30 guild recruitment DMs a day on A52. I usually wait until I hear from the same guild enough to recognize their spam, join them, and then quit after a day or two. It seems the bot that is in the guild recruitment meta right now flags recently quit members for no invite for a period. Brutal Obedience for example, their bot will start messaging 2-3 times a day again 2 weeks after I quit like clockwork.
I solved the guild invite problem, I just created my own guild and put all my alts in it. Problem solved. As far as duels I just ignore them and refuse them. Couldn’t believe that someone had the gall to try to duel me at the start of Exile Island. What the crap, are they turning the new starting area into goldshire inn.
accept the invite, see what’s not locked down in the Gbank, then put a Huokan ad in Gchat, you won’t last long
I will use the in-game options and add-ons now that I know about them, thank you, everyone. I returned less than two weeks ago from a 4-5 month break from the game and my memory is a bit rusty. Thank you again
