Option to Toggle off Drunk effects

Well, there is a command to turn off the blur effect, which also removes other glow effects or etc if i recall correctly.

/console ffxGlow 0

As for the walking straight and talking funny in chat…

Full screen glow effect also has the added bonus of turning off that annoying bright blue death effect.

It USED to be a toggle in interface options and i have no idea why they took that off the interface options.

I carry coffees on my main because the drunk effect severely trips my vertigo.
It’s a bad day when I run out and forget to restock.

Probably the biggest whiner ive ever seen. If a boss puts something on you it is a boss mechanic.

Of an optional boss

Nah, it’s not a boss mechanic.

Boss mechanics end when a boss dies, or fights reset. They don’t last the entire rest of the dungeon. :woman_shrugging:

Hey, while we’re at it, can I get an option so that my character isn’t stunned unless I take a consumable to be stunned? Oh, an and option for fear, too. I really hate it when I lose control of my character, so the obvious answer is a switch in the interface to opt out of these.

If I could only toggle off drunk effects in real life…

What made you drunk?

There used to be a box that you could check to stop it from happening, but that was eons ago.

No toggle
Thanks
Enjoy being wasted

So you’re telling me in Stormstout Brewery when the fountains of booze are going off and you stand in one and get drunk, that is not a dungeon mechanic?

I totally stand in them on purpose, btw. And have the tundra mammoth on my bar only for cheap booze on the go. It gets old, sure, I haven’t got a character drunk in awhile, but the game doesn’t inflict it on you as a mechanic more than a handful of times I can think of. As such, not really something to get worked up over, even if I hated it, which I don’t, unless you’re doing something on the level of mechagon robot puzzles it isn’t as detrimental as it may seem at first. I’ll take drunk over stunned or dead, just as a for instance.

So you’re complaining that you can magically become drunk from a drunk boss, but all the other magical stuff that has no reason to occur in the game except for magic, fire breathing dragons, monsters, demons, all that stuff… that’s not an issue?

Being drunk makes enemy levels lower then whet they really are also if you auto run you veer off course same when mounted.

What made you drunk? A boss?

Sit down

Not a boss mechanic, boss mechanics fall off after a boss fight is complete.

You sit down, just because you don’t agree with me doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be able to express my frustrations with it.

You don’t ever need to toggle the option to remove drunk effects if you don’t want to.

You get over yourself.

In my experience the effect has always gone away within seconds after he is killed. Sounds like a bug or something, the duration is even listed as 10 seconds, strange.

I was still drunk all the way up to the last boss in that dungeon, it made tanking a nightmare, my druid ended up letting me die and rebirthing me so i could clear the effect and be able to see straight.

There are actual issues that arise for some people with eye issues. Your sensitivity is impressive!

Nani? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Try not to post in threads so old that the original discussion has ran its course.
However, I agree. Wish there was a way to remove it entirely.
Not fun and makes me slightly nauseous.
As mentioned though, doesn’t happen anywhere near enough to be an issue.
