Hey, while we’re at it, can I get an option so that my character isn’t stunned unless I take a consumable to be stunned? Oh, an and option for fear, too. I really hate it when I lose control of my character, so the obvious answer is a switch in the interface to opt out of these.
So you’re telling me in Stormstout Brewery when the fountains of booze are going off and you stand in one and get drunk, that is not a dungeon mechanic?
I totally stand in them on purpose, btw. And have the tundra mammoth on my bar only for cheap booze on the go. It gets old, sure, I haven’t got a character drunk in awhile, but the game doesn’t inflict it on you as a mechanic more than a handful of times I can think of. As such, not really something to get worked up over, even if I hated it, which I don’t, unless you’re doing something on the level of mechagon robot puzzles it isn’t as detrimental as it may seem at first. I’ll take drunk over stunned or dead, just as a for instance.
So you’re complaining that you can magically become drunk from a drunk boss, but all the other magical stuff that has no reason to occur in the game except for magic, fire breathing dragons, monsters, demons, all that stuff… that’s not an issue?
In my experience the effect has always gone away within seconds after he is killed. Sounds like a bug or something, the duration is even listed as 10 seconds, strange.
I was still drunk all the way up to the last boss in that dungeon, it made tanking a nightmare, my druid ended up letting me die and rebirthing me so i could clear the effect and be able to see straight.
Try not to post in threads so old that the original discussion has ran its course.
However, I agree. Wish there was a way to remove it entirely.
Not fun and makes me slightly nauseous.
As mentioned though, doesn’t happen anywhere near enough to be an issue.
