Option to migrate dead character to non-hc classic?

I know it’s herecy regarding HC, but still would be nice to have it as an option.

No. You lose the time invested if your character dies. That’s the point. The high stakes is what makes the game mode interesting.

Anyone worried about losing the time spent on leveling can play on a normal server.

Why bother with being on a HC server at all then if it’s a personal challenge and you dislike the rules? There are probably more mobs up on normal servers anyway and you can just keep playing after you die instead of having to transfer servers.

I don’t think this is a big deal. Of course, it would have a price tag attached but if someone loses there naxx geared char having the option to transfer to a non hc server is probably a good thing.

It doesn’t hurt the hc server as everyone on there will still be hc.

Course I can see why some would want to keep this restricted

Yeah, over at Path of Exile, a game that have a steady streams of leagues, they have opted to dump Heroic characters back to the normal league.

Because sometimes/often times there will be situations where the player dies to other reasons than their own. Which makes the death feel just… bitter.

as long as it’s a payed option. the game needs more revenue.

While I can see the rationality for both sides here, I have to agree with this. If you keep the character, progression and items after a death, it simply isn’t hardcore.

Having such a “feature” would largely invalidate a reason to play hardcore at all.

I see no reason not to allow a transfer at 60. For some players that’s all the goal is.

yes, perhaps living lvl 60s can pay $50 to transfer to a non-hc realm if they so choose

Right, if you can’t res you can’t play or transfer it. Regular fee, we aren’t special.
Companies are gouging enough as it is, don’t encourage more.
