Looking forward to classic in a couple of weeks and have a question about use of the berserking troll racial with mage. Are there any means a mage could use to reduce his/her health to increase the haste provided by berserking? A warlock could presumably life tap, but I am unaware of any abilities accessible to a mage that result in damage to self. I acknowledge this is a contrived scenario since doing this would be a ticket to a corpse run when playing solo and would likely result in a kick when grouping.
Keep your stamina from gear low, remove your priest buff in raids. Pop skull of impending doom, use a dark rune, use a goblin sapper charge.
Edit: stand in the fire.
Prior to combat take off all gear then put it back on. During combat take off wep and put it back on and use dark runes.
Get hit or use those hp to mama runes, those are 30 sec cool down and like 600 hp.
Berserking is badass in classic
Thanks all! I had forgotten about sapper charges.
Can you explain how removing gear would affect the buff? This would lower health, but I cannot see how this would impact the percentage of max health on which berserking is based.
Because it doesn’t just give you the health.
So when you put on your gear you won’t be 100/100 hp. It might be 70/100 depending on how much stamina you have.
Ask the healers not to heal you is about it really outside of fights like patchwerk where u can control your HP easily with zero risk of copping splash/cleave damage.
Theres a fair few fights where natural aoe will keep your HP low enough to make it worthwhile but I don’t think courting danger on a squishburger is too wise most of the time.
This is something you do not want to do because doing anything to lower your hp will increase the time it takes for you to get things done (Something might kill you). Just use it when you get to low hp… see if there is a macro for it.
