I never use my right hand to click action buttons, and I don’t use my left hand on anything further than the 5/t/g/b diagonal on the keyboard. Also, the following keybindings are set up so that the buttons on the action bar are approximately aligned the positioning of the buttons of your actual keyboard. This helps with response times because they’re where your mind expects them to be.
Save your tendons and thank me later.
This is my setup:
ACTION BARS
Action Button 1 - 1
Action Button 2 - 2
Action Button 3 - 3
Action Button 4 - 4
Action Button 5 - 5
Action Button 6 - F
Action Button 7 - CTRL-S
Action Button 8 - CTRL-T
Action Button 9 - CTRL-X
EXTRA ACTION BARS
Action Bar 2 Button 1 - CTRL-V
Action Bar 2 Button 2 - CTRL-D
Action Bar 2 Button 3 - ALT-F
Action Bar 2 Button 4 - CTRL-R
Action Bar 2 Button 5 - ALT-S
Action Bar 2 Button 6 - CTRL-E
Action Bar 2 Button 7 - CTRL-G
Action Bar 2 Button 8 - V
Action Bar 2 Button 9 - CTRL-F
Action Bar 2 Button 10 - ALT-D
Action Bar 2 Button 11 - CTRL-A
Action Bar 3 Button 1 - CTRL-Q
Action Bar 3 Button 2 - CTRL-W

I’m going to stick with what I got.
You do you though.
Edit: If you’re binding your movement keys, how are you moving while in combat? Are you only running forward and turning with your mouse? You don’t strafe?
Likewise, why wouldn’t you put likewise keybinds near each other? Like alt d and ctrl d next to each other.
Or at the very least on the same relative action bar slot. Ie. D is on 2, 7 and 12. That way if you block out 5 piece action bars, D is always the second button in. Why would you have it on 2 and 10?
This is a scenario where your keybinds make sense to you because you’ve used them for so long. You’d change up a keybinds to something different and get used to it.
But when you step back and actually look at it, it’s kind of a mess.
Get a MMO mouse. Everything becomes simplified.

Yeah. I only run and turn with my mouse. I set auto run to bottom programmable button on my mouse. Not sure I’d change anything. The point of the setup is to set up all the buttons as close to the left side of the keyboard as possible. Where you put your skills is up to you.
