If you have soloed the Mechagon dungeon to open the Mechagnome Allied race, I would like some information on that tremendous accomplishment. When you did this, what class, level, ilvl and spec as well as when (BFA or SL)?
I have a 60 Druid who can take down King Gobbamak in Guardian Spec but I am repeatedly killed by Goop when I take on Gunker. The Goop got my Druid every time. My last time run I was targeting one Goop when another got me. Any hints on defeating the Goop would also be appreciated.
I have a 60 Hunter who took down Gunker in BM Spec because of range, but got destroyed by King Gobbamak because Hunter Pets cannot hold aggro and a million little Troggs annihilated me.
I have a lot of 60’s so can groom one to do this solo. I know there is a video of a Havoc Demon Hunter doing it. I am interested in seeing how others have done this. Thanks!
Just stand in the spray bots like you had to back in BFA. It is easy for melee as there is one in melee anyway. Just stay out of the green circles when the boss throws random goop around in case the melee bot is the one that gets gooped.
Have you tried misdirecting? I know a lot of hunters forget that the ability exists.

Thank you for the reply. I will try that on Gunker and my Druid. On my Hunter and Gobbamak I do use misdirect, but it is really easy to take aggro from the pets. Thanks!
Is your intent to solo it, or you just can’t find someone to help you with it?

I’m soloing it with a 64 arcane mage and just killed him; jump out of his pre-goop circles until he goops, then keep along the periphery of his wave (tho not sure that’s needed) and wear him down.
I mean I have, but with a level 70 so maybe just level up? I have not managed to solo hard mode although I know others have done it.
