Max level, unforgiving, mobs that wreck anyone not on their toes. Like Cata Heroic mobs, but out in the open world. The current marshmallows we have for mobs just don’t cut it.
No thank you. Though if they make one zone like that would be fine if it was optional (like Isle of Dread in EQOA).
If i wanted to play dark souls i would play dark souls. Go troll somewhere else
Leave some gear slots empty if you want it to be as hard as Dark Souls. (Do not do this in group content please.)
I agree at least in the current open world mobs aren’t always too difficult, and sometimes feel more like health sponges. I’d like a good fight that’s not all “get hit once and you die.” Something mechanically interesting is always fun. However, WoW should reach a wide audience and going full-blown Soulsborne would ruin the game for too many people.
Nope, I disagree. I think a balance of perhaps having an area with said difficulty is nice but honestly, the balance has been hard to meet.
What there is now in ZM is pretty refreshing for their end game zone.
I just dislike the few things there are to do. And the pace of rep gain etc.
if they though the mass exodus in WoD was staggering just imagine what would happen when granny and little joe went to level next expansion and had to deal with that lol
We had a souls mechanic for an outdoor zone for 9.0. The Maw. People hated it.
As much as I would like that and you would like that, the majority would not like that. The game revolves around game buyers and ties mundane tasks to player power. The game does not revolve around gamers any longer. Look around, brother.
That wasn’t a souls mechanic. That was a meely-mouthed attempt at a souls mechanic. I just want one end-game zone that’s actually difficult.

Every elite mobs needs to be at least Father Gascoigne tier of difficult, normal mobs should be like the 3 stooges in the parish, World bosses need to be ng+7 orphan of kos. To compensate gear drops will be higher.
Go play elden ring. Leave us alone.

I disagree. This patch (so far) is like a pleasant, lite dessert for ending the expac.
When I want a challenge, I’ll solo (or try to) a rare elite.
Does the open world need to be more difficult, yes imo.
I’m also going to say that going to full on Dark Souls difficulty in the open world is an overcorrection.
You want Dark Souls difficulty? Unequip.
Proposing an idea you disagree with is not trolling. Why does everything need to be a fight with some people?
I’d be all for it if say the mob I down rewarded me accordingly.
If get 35 anima for killing Zovaal’s robot terminator, I’d be pissed.
