I get motion sickness, I have range issues, tendonitis, bursitis, poly cystic ovaries a sore back sometimes…I could go on and on, but I won’t bore everyone or play the victim card.
Try a curved monitor for the motion sickness, worked for me - or just fly around slowly - you don’t need to go at mach three. Maybe go outside for some fresh air, I think it might do you the world of good.
I havent seen this forum show this much foulness other than maybe with multiboxing. They were attacking anyone who dared to either be a boxer or be neutral on the issue a while back.
Sad part is, dont assume that this is just mouthy children. MANY to MOST of them are well over 18 years of age, and all over the age spectrum above that.
You have to wonder about someone willing to attack and demean other gamers …other human beings…who may have handicaps or other personal issues such as motion sickness over a stinking video game.
Personally I think it says a lot about a person who does.

Ive been watching these forums daily for over 5 years now. It pretty much is a dead on representation of humanity itself.
“back in my day” gamers had more respect for each other. We were a family for the most part.
Now…today…the sicknesses that affect mankind have crept into this community so it is no different than the world at large.
Your fellow gamers dont have any more brotherhood with you today than anyone else out there in the world does.
I dont know at what point this all happened. Gamers way back when seemed to stick together over their common love of gaming of whatever sort.
Dont expect that today. They’ll cut you down, insult your disability, be as nasty and petulant as they feel to be.

You need to do what Ive started doing friend. Use the ignore feature. Use it often.
Click their avatar, View activity then over on the right is a drop down that’ll allow you to ignore them. Choose ‘forever’.
Sad part is it doesnt ignore their entire account, so when they start trolling you you’ll have to ignore the alt as well.
irony here is, THEY are allowed to attack you in their opinion, but if you dare reciprocate they’ll start screaming and tossing a fit about YOU being the ‘toxic’ one
Well maybe OP has tried it and it doesn’t work for them, still they should try to get their issues resolved first, before doing something as drastic as having to quit a game they say they love so much, and probably wouldn’t be able to live without.
I’m not trying to diminish anyone’s struggle. I’m also not looking to side with anyone here, really. Just for those that do suffer from intense motion sickness, there are OTCs if that’s a route they want to explore.

yea it’s pretty bad not just in game though but irl too.
my gf is deaf and everytime people try to talk to her she doesn’t hear them so they get mad and sometimes say something snarky under their breath like i can’t hear them. sometimes i tell them she is deaf and they still do the same thing. i think it has gotten bad only once where the cashier was still being rude so i yelled at them.
it just baffles tf out of me how rude people are to disabled people for no good reason. i deal with the same thing with my grandparents but they are older so i guess people tend to just accept it where as my gf is young.
Welcome to the state of the world. We are headed for the Germany of world war 2 all over again where disabled people mysteriously disappeared, old people disappeared, and anyone else who did not go along with the party line. Hatefulness, disrespect, me me me. You get the idea.

What do you mean all over again. The US and the UK originated the study of Eugenics, Germany just made it worse. We’ve apeays been the forefront of Eugenics if you look at the treatment of slaves, Native Americans and the disabled.
We’ve always treated disabled people poorly. Even went as far as killing them or worse.
In the past couple centuries. I can pull up scholarly peer reviewed articles on the US’ relationship with Eugenics.
It’s what I’m studied for my Master’s in Psychology.

I have a fear of heights… yet I don’t freak out when I am on a high peak in WoW.
I love speed, yet I don’t get that same rush of going fast like I do in real life.

If moving fast in a video game makes you that uncomfortable, then maybe gaming isn’t for you.
There are options to disable certain visual effects in the graphics and accessibility menu.
Curious though. If the options that currently exist are not enough, what other options would you like to see implemented?

There are also flight paths that exist in the game.
I used the flight paths in Oribos and the in-between makes me motion sick. I usually just look away, and I don’t try to suggest the removal of flight paths while simultaneously trying to be taken seriously.
