I have never seen this level of hatred, disrespect and mockery of disabled people on such a massive scale than on the wow forums since dragonflight launched. People with motion sickness (me), epilepsy, and motor control function limitations are not accepted here, that much is clear.
I have never felt so unaccepted for a medical condition just for requesting the OPTION to not feel sick when I play the game I have played for over a decade. No disabled person wants to take dragonflight away from you, its great that you are able to enjoy it, I don’t know why needing to fly slower is somehow so repulsive that disabled people are deserving of open hatred on the forums.
It does make me wonder though, if people revile me for my motion sickness here, do people in real life say hateful things behind my back… It seems like there is a greater hate for disabled people than I ever imagined… and I can’t say I’ve ever felt sorrow from reading a forum but… yeah it doesn’t feel great…
(I might just request to delete this, not even 15 minutes up and people are questioning the validity of my disability and mocking me… take that as evidence… or throw it in my face like the rest, whatever)
The forums aren’t moderated well, so that breeds all kinds of stuff and allows it to flourish. I don’t think that’s Blizz’s intent, because those things are against the rules. But with so few mods, it doesn’t get addressed right away or sometimes at all.
So which aspect about dragon riding causes your disabilities to go off? (Like the speed or camera for example)
I’m not asking in a mean spirited or harsh way. I’m asking because I genially don’t know so I can suggest pertinent things to the conversation at hand.
The tunnel zoom hold on let me find it… that can be turned off. You can gain momentum by just slightly tilting your head down til your wings turn blue.
Make sure alternate full screen effects is ticked off and motion sickness is set to keep character centered and reduce camera motion.
Camera shake for me is set to full but I’m sure that could be disabled
Hate is a strong word. Ridicule and senseless drivel? most definitely. I am not one who will argue against more options for people in the game, I think it’s a fair thing to ask and really doesn’t affect my day to day gameplay. But if you’re looking for serious conversation, this place, is just not where you will find it and I am sorry.
These past few days these forums has seen a whole mess of terrible things being said. Common decency and rationality are often absent companions around here.

Oh please you clearly exaggerating now it’s official. If you enjoy going slow, use a ground mount with a saddle and use flight paths! Problem solved!
