From the horde to alliance.

Free character faction transfer and free guild transfer.

Do it blizz before alliance completely dies out.

Why would anybody want to transfer to the weaker faction? Less raiding opportunities, roving gank squads in WM, etc.

The problem on Alliance isn’t raw numbers. Alliance actually outnumber Horde in the game. The problem is the demographics of most of the Alliance players. Soccer mom’s (and dad’s like myself) and children.

Just due away from factions already, every expansion we work together anyway. The balancing issues of both sides are getting outta hand, makes the game look stupid and not fun.

If they want the factions to balance out, they need to take away things that give a game mechanic perk or advantage to the dominant faction.

Mercenary mode for battleground queues - you used to have to choose by your faction choice whether you wanted faster queue or win more… now you can choose day by day. The base 10% bonus in war mode - subtract that from both sides, and you will drop a lot of horde population from war mode that was just there for the 10% (because they can mostly avoid pvp situations due to numbers).

In contrast, a game mechanic that does try to push for people to swap factions is the mythic raiding cross realm being delayed until both factions’ leader boards are full.

If they wanted to try and push for transfers, they could do some sort of “transfer two characters, third is free” or “10% off when transferring with your guild” when the horde board is full and the Alliance board isn’t (from horde to Alliance only).

A faction change resets many of the story lines, so basically a lot of stuff would need to be repeated, so I doubt many will jump at that chance.

That is the problem, there is no reason for them to transfer to the Alliance to begin with. If anything, they should disable faction transfers to the Horde side to stem the bleeding but that won’t happen as it would impact their bottom line.

Blizzard cares about money, and that’s it. They don’t care about the game. The games systems have been designed around not giving you what you want to keep you around longer to get more money. Blizzard even bragged how active subs don’t matter, but how much money they’re getting.

They don’t care about you friend. They truly do not, not anymore. And the private server thing? they’re only making classic cause it’s easy for them and they know there are hundreds of thousands to a million or more people who just love that.

Nothing they’re doing is for you, or for us. Tho I believe the classic dev team loves the game.

Nothing is free from Blizz. They only give a discount when they know people will buy more of it. Like a new allied race. And that’s to suggest more purchases.

Many want to deny this, but anyone who’s not a dough head knows it’s true. It’s just the way it is.

I play both sides and enjoy both sides pretty much equally. I like seeing both side of the stories so I get the most out of the game. Having said that, why in the world would someone switch from Horde to Alliance? They’d have to be nuts. 10% bonus in warmode for little risk, decent wins in randoms battlegrounds, random folks are slightly better players. One could look at mounts and other things people have pointed out. I don’t care much about the mounts I like horses.

edit: There are down sides to playing Horde. The leadership is revolving door, so nothing is really consistent. It’s the side that is more aggressive in the stories, so you’re looked at as being the antagonistic bad guy. ( Lots of players have a problem with this. They want to be Horde but nice Horde… :roll_eyes: )

Free faction changes won’t make people changes factions.

Blizzard can’t force people to play a dead faction, if in game incentives won’t, why would this?

I play Horde and my younger brother plays Alliance because he does not want to play the bad guy. That mentality is why so many Alliance players suck at everything. I do have a couple Alliance toons and when I play on them in dungeons or raids I’m shocked at how bad they are. They stand in crap and expect the healer to heal them thru it and many other foolish things.

A good bit of players would change just due to being bored of their faction style, and feeling. it would work to a degree. and I’m sure many would switch some alts over for fun that they play from time to time.

I’d say the hardcore players will remain. Even still it’s hard to say how effective it would be. When people see “free” things happen.

A free faction change would change nearly nothing the Alliance complains about.

Lack of mythic raiding…m+…wpvp? Will have almost no effect.

You’re a shaman. The worst class in the game, enhance being the most horribly designed class I’ve ever seen. And elemental suffering from identity crisis.
