How do you feel about turning the beta into open beta after the push back of release? It would give them plenty of data and would probably help people that have been waiting eagerly to play shadowlands a chance to get a taste to hold them over?
Plenty of games run in open beta and it’s worked well and comes with the disclaimer of hey! this isn’t permanent but you can see what we are working on for you.
bump if you agree, ignore if you don’t

Anyone who’s played BfA would be used to it now.

Sure, I’ll give a bump to agree. At least open to those that pre-ordered like in MOP.

I think the issue with an open beta would be the strain on the beta servers getting in the way of testing. There are a limited number of servers and overloading them with people who just want to play rather than test wouldn’t really help things.
If Blizz gets stuck focusing on keeping up stable servers, it will take much longer to weed through everything to find the real bugs and resolve them. A large number of people who would hop on an open beta would not be testing anything. It’s likely they would just log in to play and complain about the bugs rather than reporting them.

I support it,
It’d be impossible for people to not get on board with #PullTheRipcord if everyone got to experience it.
That or the week CD on conduits.

I am a beta tester and I support this.
Mass players testing accelerates the process. The window of testing is still small if the release date of Q4 holds anyways so the more the merrier.

dont know why its never been an open beta, blizz has already stated they didnt have enough people on the beta servers to get the data they wanted from the stress test
