Getting really, REALLY tired of every time I use Scan Game Files the game decides to go insane and go into a perpetual rescan mode. This is not the first second or even third time I have reported this issue on various characters. This has been an ongoing fight ever since you guys made Solid State the ONLY viable way to deal with load times.
Also I’d love to know why every single time I load up B.Net it has to do a micro update. Wasn’t this way in the past and reboots and reinstalls are NOT fixing it. Getting really pissed off that this is still an issue 2 years later.
The problem is that your scan skips from 92% to 100% and blows up because it couldn’t do the last 8% properly. Please tell whatever is left of Q.A. to fix this. Getting really dumb and it makes me regret resubbing.
I have done both. As per usual after a system reset (which resulted in a complete PC wipe) the issue resolved, but only after I made 2 copies of WoW, one on my C:/ and one on my SSD. Deleting the C:/ convinces the other that all is well allowing gameplay. Still a pain in the you know what.
We need a way to bypass the B.Net interface, if it’s going to be this glitchy.
Issue resolved though, see you in 1-2 years when this happens again…
The Bnet app checks your license, so it’s unlikely it will ever go away. Glad it’s working, but if you’re saying the C drive is not an SSD, that could be the root of the issue.
you can use WoW.exe to bypass the b net launcher … and run the launcher if there is an update… i have been doing that for years and have no problems. you can have the launcher and world of warcraft on a usb3 drive and use it on any computer. if the computer only has one drive and less than 75gb of space. you may lose some performance but the game will still run
