We had this same issue with the BFD trinkets. You pick one item, but then realize that you want to play a different role. I had something similar happen this tier with Onyxia’s head. I was DPS on week 1 of Onyxia, I am a leatherworker, and I won the roll. Great, turn that bad boy in and start crafting cloaks.
Then two weeks later I’m now my guild’s tank and I’m stuck with this DPS necklace.
It would be really great to be able to switch the reward on the Lost and Found vendor, obviously only having one of the items at a time.

Makes sense to me - honestly you don’t have to limit it to one item at a time even (probably not a big deal)
It’s really necessary as it seems that most of the tank trinkets down the line expect you to be using a shield.
Yeah it seems like a reasonable request, especially with the new tanking classes like warlock and rogue not able to benefit from tanking trinkets like Styleens.
Good post - you have my support.
Thanks for the support Dispelgodx. Another person that sees the importance of this issue!
Bump, i’m in the same situation right now
I think blizz already made a statement on how they didn’t want to do this after BFD trinket
“choices matter” or something lol >:(
Really lame that they would do this for everything leading up to the actually impactful item. This is SoD, you can change your talents in an instant, you can adjust your runes on the fly… Why the heck would they suddenly want to put their foot down on something like this. Shoot give it a 1k gold cost, I’ll farm for that!
this has been suggested many times on twitter and they have said no, they only did it for BFD because the lack of trinkets in that level range
What a rough time to get lucky on loot!
Well they said no to OCE transfers, so I’m holding out hope! I’m sure there are plenty of people in this same position. I know two at least in my guild.
