Onyx Annulet without secondary stats is complete garbage for BM Hunter I have the recommended Gems maxed at 424 and it still is less then a 415 ring or any other ring. Neeeds Secondary stats on this item no just Stamina to make it Viable. Pls adds stats.

it was slightly better then my 385 
It does seem like Blizzard intended this ring to be BIS for all classes and specs, however, in it’s current form for pet based classes, it does indeed languish behind much lower ilvl rings with secondary stats and a socket.
As MM it did like 6.4% of my dmg in a +18. I didn’t try it as BM yet though.
It would be cool if they just added secondary stats, then disabled the gems in 10.1. That seems like a reasonable fix.
from what im hearing from various class discords, almost no one wants the thing, pets or not
losing that much secondary stats just ain’t worth it with how strong secondaries are
needs to have a way to throw secondaries on it it’s either going to be dead until 10.1 or blizzard will have to buff it to be insane
personally i want it to be good since it means i can trade in my unstable arcane loop for an otter
edit: after being buffed like 5 times (lmfao) it appears to be pretty okay

On Raz, humming arcane gem was 7.3% of dmg for an outlaw rogue, 2-3% for me. In keys, each gem was 2-3%. And this is apparently after the 25% buff. Yikes.
Is 9% of your total damage just for a ring not amazing? My ring does between 6 and 8 percent of my total damage on some boss fights and Im thinking that’s gotta be better than a stat ring?
Rings are essentially secondary stat sticks. Losing 1200ish secondary stats is a massive loss. The effects from the gems don’t bridge the gap.
I replaced one of my rings with a white cosmetic ring with no stats and compared it to my regular 418 ring and the Annulet.
- Two 418 Rings - 89,097
- One 418 Ring/Cosmetic No Stat Ring - 81,174
- One 418 Ring/424 Annulet - 86,023
Losing one ring, for me, was almost 8k DPS loss. Annulet is about 5k DPS gain, but still a net loss of about 3k DPS compared to a standard 418 ring.
So yeah, the Annulet looks badass when you look at damage sources, but that’s because you’re losing damage on all your other abilities to get it.
