Hello,
I’m just curious how you would distribute the ony head if you had the choice and wanted your guild to progress as much as possible. To be clear i’m looking more for what class benefits the most from it rather than what loot system you prefer. I couldn’t find any summary of this online that was simple for me so I decided to ask the experts in the wow community. Thank you in advance.
1st) Tank for Neck.
2nd) Melee for Neck.
2-3rd) Hunter for Neck.
Last) Everyone else.
If a caster/healer wants the head, they are a bad player.
@Roliine just so we’re clear, melee benefit more than hunters from it?
Melee should get prio as they scale way better with the raw stats. Casters only want it for PvP and should only be given to rankers (10+ at this point)
Who ever you plan to drop the buff on raid night next - this is how we organise it.
Tank > Melee > Hunter > Buffs
If you want your guild to progress as much as possible from it, then you’d likely want to give it to the player who would benefit from that upgrade the most. So check the neck pieces of your raiders and see who most needs an upgrade (while also comparing that to the accessibility that others have to getting their BiS neck pieces)
You’d for sure want to give it to your tanks first so they can keep the threat over the dps, no questions asked.
Make sure they get the neck too.
Yeah.
Hunter doesn’t need that much %hit in the beginning unlike melee due to their talent and scope option.
But I put them in as 2-3rd tier since hunters will complain that AGI+Crit are also good for them even though Warr/Rogue will blow them out on the meter.
Less drama if you let your hunter roll with the melee though.
Classic content is so easy. It doesn’t matter, and it won’t matter even later on in harder raids for anyone except the worst guilds.
normally, you’d only allow tanks, melee dps, and hunters to roll on the head; obviously, tanks get priority in guild runs
however, if you’re in a pug and having trouble finding healers and/or caster dps, then you may want to let them roll on the head as well
This 100% every time
Tanks first. All else are equal!
It’s an item that gets replaced for everyone other than melee dps very quickly, in content that isn’t challenging.
If you want to make the most of it, give it to all your melee and then free roll it for everyone else.
Slightly not true for alliance, since most that need melee to hit is humans, and already have +5
