Shadow mend is a void spell that heals. Looks like the void can heal.
I’d be fine with a void knight. It was my favorite tanking class in rift, but it honestly played very similar to a WOW dk which is probably why I main it here.
It also applies a dot on you in combat.
Which perfectly encapsulates the danger in dabbling with void. You reap the benefits alongside the downsides, but are you sure you’re willing to endure one for the other?
I do say so. M’uru turned into a void thingy after it was drained. K’ara was badly injured and almost “died” which force it into a void state. They don’t just “flip a switch” and become void beings.

I never said void magic can’t heal, I said it doesn’t work the same way as holy magic.
Shadowmend has a price to pay in that you take damage after being healed. Like I said, void magic is chaotic in nature.

It doesn’t really heal. It gives and then it takes away. The healed may get temporary solace, but then the void rips that and more away from them. Like I said, it’s a bargain that always favors the void.
And really, if that’s the only thing you took away from my whole post… we aren’t discussing anything. I’m just talking to a wall.
Agreed. It is a shame we have to go by the label of Paladin, otherwise humans & dwarfs could not comprehend how close we relate to The Light.

Paladin gives me more of a super good guy vibe. Vindicator sounds like smashing faces if you get in the way of the light and I definitely like that better

Also aren’t Blood Knights or whatever they call themselves now (BE pallys) view themselves the same way Vidicator’s do? Traditional Paladin in all but name.
Imo Blood knights are more hardcore versions.
this made me want different effects for different paladin classes
imagine instead of light tauren paladins get a ton of sun motifs, or zandalari get a kind of ghostly light
