Only Fangs (Streamer Guild) that was playing Hardcore, all died due to a DDos attack. You got hundred thousand people watching this event, and they all got cheated due to the servers not being able to handle the attack. I hope this is not how its going to go out. What a cheap death. Plus to all those other Hardcore characters? I hope Blizzard rolls these guys back. Something that has been very exciting for the WoW community is now to just be remembered as, Oh you remember when those guys did Blackwing Lair, and then got DDosed, wasn’t that awesome?
Blizzard, please. Fix this.

Is there actual proof that this is a DDOS attack? Someone saying something in a chat room isn’t really proof

they’ve been into BWL two times. Servers got DDOS’ed at the same time both times. Make some deductions and you can figure out whats going on.

I’m sure that this was a possibility, but just because you think that’s what happened, that’s really not proof
Server lag has happened before and has killed entire guilds in Hardcore. I think you are just letting the fact that this happened to streamers cloud your judgement

blizzard has confirmed that it is getting ddosed and it is affecting servers on diablo and call of duty as well. Took me less time to find that then this thread…

I was playing Yesterday watching the stream and was on Nightslayer, there was definitely a DDos, I also was talking to guild mates in a discord, and they were saying they were dcing from Retail, apparently OverWatch was going through the rounds. Think most of know when its a DDos. Blizzards servers were definitely getting attacked.

How was it “definitely a DDOS” and not just server instability/lag? I was playing on anniversary yesterday and had no issues

I refuse to believe this is a DDOS until Dr. Anthony Fauci does a press briefing with hard third party verifiable evidence that Russia and PirateSoftware coordinated this attack and Michael Morhaime authenticates it as notary.

Yeah it seems like youve taken your perceived truths a little too far. this is far greater than just the streamers. No one else can play the god damn game. not only that but these streamers are just fine. Its really sad that they get attacked for literally not even doing anything. The real. WOW players who have been playing this game since its original release recognize that thanks to the social media presence of its community, this game has been allowed to stay relevant and seemingly timeless for two decades. You would never have had half of the easter eggs in the game with out streamers. You would never have had Leroy jenkins with out youtubers. Its obvious the social disconnect from the community between the people who rip on them versus dont is.

there was a ddos yesterday that knocked out all blizzard services & the forums were barely even loading, blizzard said it themselves

Out of curiosity, where was that posted? I see the response today confirming it’s ddos. But not from yesterday. I’m sure it was, but is that from Twitter or something?
I didn’t even know what a streamer was til a few years ago. I don’t think it’s that serious
