So this guy has 435 iLevel and is smoking players who out gear him by tons
Also not a mage, druid or rouge
How is this possible?

Because he’s one of the best players in the game and he’s a healer!? What do you mean he’s “smoking players” who outgear him?
Also plays with some of the best players in the game sooooo there is that too
This. Not really sure what the point of this thread is almost everyone knows who cdew is
Because he’s good and doesn’t rely on gear to carry him.
Better example would be:
top player in 3s. 436 ilvl
Great example
I am told on these forums that it’s not possible if you don’t have mythic gear to compete
Hmmm might be an excuse after all
I imagine they will say warrior is S tier meta lol and easy mode
435 is not bad at all. Also probably has his esscences and has a very decent neck level. Plays with trill who first world raids and does high mythics and high level PvP. Probably one of the most geared players in the world.
Ironic because if you actually look at his gear he has 4 different 435s that forged with sockets. 435 + socket = much higher than 435 that doesn’t affect his ilvl (just so you know the way scaling works, sockets are by far the best, you will drop ilvls to get it every single time. His gear is actually exceptional. His neck is also a very good AP level.
Cdew is the better example. Still not good though.
They are very good though? You know they got buffed somewhat recently right? Tsg is a very good comp (not rmx levels but still).
Ironically both these players are wearing a very decent amount of mythic + gear. Green actually looks like he likes it so not a problem. Cdew has never really been a pver in previous expansions and has said on stream he does not enjoy mythic 10s. Yet he still has a bunch of mythic + gear.
Ironic… You guys proved litteraly nothing… Cool post.
I am confused on the confusion.
Nope, Green has mostly pvp gear on.
8 pieces of pvp gear 7 pieces of pve. With his weapon being that real broken sword from KR. Also 435 ilvl is pretty geared compared to the average.
4 pieces of pve gear, with 1 being Benthic gear. Weapon is pve, yes. Rest pvp gear. Unless you are not talking about Green
Who are these pvpers out gearing by tons? Im 438 and I barely ever see someone more geared than me by anything more than 2ilvls at most.
Miscounted weird. But bene gear is earned through pve means makes it pve gear. But either way, green still had pve earned gear start of season until he replaced it with pvp earned gear.
So it sounds like if you pvp, you get pvp gear
Guess you are ignoring the part he still had geared from m+ mostly until getting top lvl pvp gear, which is the highest gear you would get from pvp means which is equal to m+ 10 gear. Yeah what a good system. St fu with your troll responses
And I bet if he skipped the pve part would still be top player because he has skill
Only 1800 something and a mage
There is a warrior here with 440 plus and less than 1600
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/azralon/Pøpwings
442 hpally
Under 1900
There’s more but you get the point
Higher iLevel
Maybe skill is important
Never said it didn’t. I still don’t think 440 to 435 is severely out gearing… Any 385s with 30 neck level in the top 100? How about the top 200?
Riiighhhht…
My pal is 441 and I haven’t played since the night before christm-… I mean classic.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the point is that if players are performing extremely well without superb gear in rated play then the notion that you need to farm mythic raids or high keys to do well in random BGs is unfounded.
It’s a ridiculous claim which has been repeated in this forum and somewhat widely supported.
Blue gear that drops from randoms is higher ilevel than that and the AP catch-up mechanic ensures that anyone who logs in and just kinda breathes gets a neck level higher than 30. There’s no excuse to meet the criteria that you’re describing and expect to do well, and you can exceed those descriptions easily through PvP alone.
