I responded to you saying RDF was great because it came from retail. You’re the one that went into that direction.
Oh certainly, if they add portals to places that make it so you go way faster to certain place most people will use them. “acessibility” change how you play a game for many. Sure you can decide to play Hardcore, but let’s not hide that only a minority does and on specific dead servers.
Designs matter with how people play the game. The same goes for laws, remove laws and it’s chaos. The rules of the game and it’s designs matter a lot with how people play it.
They can do what they want, but it doesn’t change that what I said are specialties of mmos. You might as well not make a mmo because those cost a lot if you don’t take advantage of those. Sure it can work and it has worked to certain point. But mmos are also becoming more and more niche because other games have been growing way more at less cost.
A community is bigger than a small group of friends. A community is not only friends, it’s just people that know each others and to a certain point respect each others and have some knowledge of each others. They aren’t strangers.
Not sure where you wanted to go with this, but yes on a mega server you already don’t really have a server community as close as smaller server. You’d have to understand that.
This is much more like if you know your neighbor, they are not your friends but also not strangers but they are part of your community.
The term small community is even used to describe small towns of less than 10,000
I was on Skyfury. We were on lockdown soon after creation. We bled players. It got smaller and smaller until it died.
The feeling of community wasn’t there, you had your feeling of community with your guild, not random people you don’t see again until maybe next pug of vault.
Not at all, i give people respect until they prove they dont deserve it. If they apologize for past behavior i am willing to give them a second chance, but until then, they reap what they sow.
Skyfury was a streamer realm. People left once the streamers left. People expected it to be a big pvp realm equivalent to mega realms so once it started to show weakness they all left.
I started on Maladath and we had a decent community. When they offered free transfers we coordinated with a lot of guilds and all went to Ashkandi. Which is now a pretty good realm.
You don’t get respect because you use bad faith arguments and continually move goal posts when your arguments get destroyed, then whine when you get called out on it.
You mean you intentionally misrepresenting my arguments and then destroying the fasle argument you made in place of my argument, and when i correct your misrepresentation of my arguments you claim i moved the goal post.
What we mean is almost every one here sees what you are, even most of those who are anti-rdf. You’ve lost all credibility with both factions. But think what you like. /shrug
No I mean exactly what I said and I stated it quite clearly.
You use bad faith arguments like RDF wasn’t added till ICC which is irrelevant for several reasons in classic. And when people have acknowledged various complaints about RDF, even if they don’t feel they’re really an issue, and agreed that they would be fine with various changes to RDF as long as it can still do it’s primary job you invent new highly fictitious arguments you never mentioned, IE moving goal posts.
And BTW that’s an example of clarifying a point that you didn’t understand vs moving goal posts.
It isnt irrelevant though. You are trying to justify a change because of previous changes. Me pointing out YOUR bad faith argument isnt a bad faith argument. On top of that you are the one that wanted rdf in tbcc and claimed it wouldnt change how raiders approached the game at all, especially in the raiding scene. Now with dual spec we easily see it effecting raid comps with some raids having all but one healer respecing on dps on fights like hodir and to a lesser degree the same thing happening on other fights. Something raids wouldnt have done without dual spec due to the time loss. But thats fine for wotlkc as thats how it was, but you were arguing for it to be added into tbcc with bad faith arguments on how it wouldnt change how players approached raids and raid comps, yet here we are, proof positive you were wrong on your bad faith argument, still claiming im the one doing all the bad faith arguments.
Im not shilling for blizzard… no rdf is one of the few things i truely agree with them on.
I dont think the tolen was a good idea.
I dont really think H+ was a good idea but i would rather they keep it relevant with updated like H++ than to ignore it.
Ive definatly thought lfg should have had separation of H and H+ a long time ago.
And many more changes have happened i dont agree with. I have tried to critic things i dont agree with at times because i know they may make changes to it, but wont remove it. Example of this is the loot bags for healers/tanks/ certain quests. I tried to have their loot be dependent on the characters professions, instead of outright destroying the value of alchemy. And to a degree they listened. They are less likely to give potions/flasks galor and can give raw material like leather or ore now. Still not exactly happy with the loot boxes, but its better than it was.
You have failed to explain how RDF is at all directly tied to ICC beyond incidentally being released in the same patch or that for classic blizzard has primarily only been time gating content not features and balance or that blizzard at this point has not stated RDF was coming with ICC in classic(if they had this topic wouldn’t exist). Ironically bringing up dual spec another feature which was released mid wrath but has been in since launch of wrath classic.
That’s why saying “herp derp RDF wasn’t in till ICC” is a bad faith argument.
