I’ve played MM in arena and as a duel spec, it falls short on the kitting. It’s a one-shot or wait til’ cd’s up dynamic. It is possible to win, but you have to sync your rotation with your teammates perfectly to take down someone, while being bullied by melee classes (rogues, war, dh, dk). Survival do very well against those. You have more melee range than them so kitting with raptor/mongoose is possible , plus kill command and bombs ofc. You add to this the plethora of utilities they have (traps, stun, even disarm, ect) and the insane mobility from charges/hook and it really shines in duel. It’s an engage/disengage gameplay with potent uptime damage. Way more fun than MM, less challenging indeed. BM in pvp is laughable in my opinion.
Edit: Macros and good keybinding is a must to make the most of survival

I’ve been enjoying MM for 2 days in BGB and regular BGs. Picking off folks already distracted with the other players they are fighting is a blast. Its current defensives would make me(the least experienced hunter in the game) apprehensive to try rated seriously. If the pros cant make it work for arena me seeing success with it is unlikely…but in BGs if I die oh well, I just rez and kill plenty of folks. Staying with the group is essential for me to live and I found flanking and prioritizing enemy hunters very helpful.

Disengage needs something more, either 2 charges or a couple of seconds of freedom after using it.
I also think turtle should come with a heal and an extra charge like old school deterrence.
Make pet stun\sac\freedom\anti heal\lust usable without a pet already and rework all the hunter defensives, just tons of average abilities atm merge some stuff and make it better.
