I did the weekly engineering quest and got 1 knowledge point. I had one of my other characters put in an order for 2 cheap items to complete it. I then spent 30k gold to do the patron order thinking I would get another point, or hopefully more, but the only thing I got was a bag with a few pieces of scrap, and 2 herbs. The only other way I know to get weekly points is the inscription item. Please tell me there are some quests that I am missing because I don’t want to spend years to fill out the profession

Wowhead is questioning if this is bugged, but no word from Blizzard yet (WH article was only 2 hours old as I post this).
If you haven’t already, you can pick up 24 points from treasures around the map (2 per zone if I recall). This WH article has waypoints, but Handynotes TWW plug-in will put markers on your map for where these are (requires Handynotes baseline addon).
