Blizzard honestly did a solid work on most everything.
Its not perfect…never been and wont ever be.
The only one single issue left is the hard cap.
Seriously Blizzard, you know like we all do that it makes no sense whatsoever that some class can do dmgs to 15mobs while we are stuck at 8…
Soft cap us simply…reduce dmgs done beyong 8 targets, and jobs done
I am sincerely wondering why its such a big issue…
BF Should simply be : ‘‘Cleave all targets in melee range for 10%(or whatvr goldilock number fits) of your main target dmgs’’
Dancing steel should read : ‘‘BF Now Cleave the 7 nearest targets for 50% of your dmgs’’
Problem solved.
We would be on par with sin and similar spec…
And quite frankly! ALL specs in game should have something similar!
There are certainly some mathematicians of your that can come up with an adjustment somewhere for all specs to find a goldilock % number to make it viable.
This in my opinion is one of the biggest issue in this game…and it could be so easily fixed!

Honestly, they have a square root formula they use for post 5/8 target damage scaling as is. It’s used on literally any class with a soft cap.
They could keep the talents as is, 50% up to 5/8, and just uncap the rest of the damage scaling with the standard formula. Tune down BF base damage if they absolutely have to, to keep damage in line. But, as is, they want Outlaw to be this weird niche of “best spec at 5-8 target cleave”, which we aren’t even that right now, so them uncapping us wouldn’t change much.
They’re already failing the design intention as is. Why keep sticking to it if you can never accomplish the goal? It’s stupid.

it feels weird that the upfront and personal rogue spec is the one that relies on vanish than the other 2 specs

an interesting change i would love to personally see tackled is does blade flurry really need to be our only AoE function, i know KS is to a degree. but why not rework blade rush into a finisher instead of KS and just soft cap blade rush as a finisher, in large aoe situation getting full combo points off blade flurry feels pretty satisfying, i just think its hilarious blade flurry just sky rockets to the top of the dps meter, mean while our actual melee damage is so small. blade rush becoming a finisher could also help manage the laughable energy situation we are always in.
well it was fine as combat rogue, because it really was in your face. then they changed it to a gun pirate, then they changed it to a Subtlety gunner oh throws some dice. i to find it amusing that the spec that once did most of its damage with its weapons now does most of its damage with a gun that you dont actually even wear or use. just aesthetic damage. amazing.
