Look, I know the inn doesn’t have the best reputation, but there’s a dude who’s been using like 50 alt accounts of level 90 rogues to drop hyper-compressed oceans in it by the dozens and log before anyone can target them. He’s deliberately using tactics that make it impossible to report him with the in-game system, and the site contact is useless (it just stiff-arms you and demands that you use the in-game system with no option to talk to a person). Could we please have someone address this? The people there say it’s been going on for MONTHS with no response out of Blizzard.
If there’s a dude “griefing” that inn, I would argue he’s a hero and deserves a few medals, and if you’re IN that inn, maybe don’t be.

bad behavior’s not okay just because it’s happening to people you don’t like, and there are still quests and stuff that are also being disrupted by this

Literally everyone in that inn for those reasons is breaking the ToS of the game. Vigilante justice against that crowd gets a tip of the ol’skullcap.
Who does the quests there though when there’s Exiles Reach? xD

I understand you have some kind of personal problems with what goes on in that place or whatever, but it’s still not cool to leverage alt accounts to do this kind of thing in the game world. It’s laggy, it’s hard on the eyes, it disrupts access to quests and other NPCs, etc etc.
Also, have you played exile’s reach? because LOL and also LMAO
It’s easy to get through.
And I’m not saying griefing is okay, but I think championing an inn where people are clearly doing stuff they shouldn’t, some of it borderline ILLEGAL, is not the hill you should be wanting to die on here.

I’m not “championing” anybody. I’m just saying maybe months of continuous griefing utilizing like 50 accounts is not okay just because it’s happening to people you find personally objectionable. If I did this in the middle of Stormwind or at an event in Atal Utek it’d get dealt with in a jiffy, even though it’s not any more against the rules in that context.
Also, that inn has existed in the state it has for decades at this point. If they’re aware of it, they really don’t seem to mind. Just saying.
edit: Yeah, on the subject of illegality, there were a handful of really gross people doing really gross things there with the TRP3 addon. And they added report functionality to TRP3 specifically to deal with that problem. Which has been very successful, I might add. Outside of that, /shrug.

You’re calling for appropriate justice for annoying and disruptive behavior. You’ll not get much support here. People aren’t likely to agree with you because they lack empathy and because if blizzard starts cracking down on griefing behavior, then these people think their own crummy behaviors will also get put under a lens.
Any one of the people who would argue with you that blizzard should react to disruptive behavior would be upset if someone came and disrupted something they were doing, but because they don’t agree with the people affected (or care about them) then you end up with dissent in your replies. It’s not a problem til the individual has to deal with it, NOW it’s an issue.
Any time someone is causing a disruption in-game, it should be handled. But it won’t be. I spent weeks reporting a guy named Lilepstein who was walking around with child companion pets on a leash and making awful commentary in /say in front of the inn in goldshire. Nothing happened. that was during I think the first month of Midnight. I just saw him a week ago. When I came to the public about it, I got ridiculed for even caring. Both on social media and in-game zone chats. Nobody gives a singular about anyone but themselves.
As for the window licker responding to you, I was on an alt and could not do any of the quests inside the inn because of that water thing and that was two weeks ago. This means it’s still happening. It also caused some framerate issues for me when I was outside the inn helping a low level player. I get there’s an issue with degenerates inside the inn, but letting the area stay broken or be repeatedly broken and drag everyone else into the mess is not the solution you “think” it is.

Grimfàng has made three posts on the matter, tripling down on the inconvenience of low lvl players being justified with the multi-alt griefer doing what they’re doing. They even went so far as to imply that you’re championing the inn/the people IN the inn, forgetting that low-level players can do Exile’s Reach, and then head to the low-level world areas like Elwynn to complete the quests there. If I’m not mistaken, don’t the Lorewalker and Seeker title achievements require you to complete those areas?
In any case, it’s clear whose side Grimfàng is on. IJS. <3

People actually do level in that zone, y’know, I did on this character. The meat-market people standing around are weird when you have to pass through them to the quest NPCs, but I can file that under “not my business” and move on. Griefers killing all the quest NPCs is a different matter.
Neither side of this looks good, but only one is causing a problem for bystanders.

Because there’s no point in engaging. My initial response wasn’t even that serious, and some of ya’ll really jump from 0 to hostile towards a point of view y’all don’t agree with. My opinion: yeah it sucks for questers, but no sympathy towards the rule breakers in that inn. Sorry, not sorry.
… that’s not a reason to be nasty in response. So with all due respect, I’m not engaging in forum PVP with you over that simple opinion.

I do because Elwynn is one of my favorites zones.. HOWEVER I do turn on war mode for it to avoid the normal crowd there. Which also removes the people who do grief lol
For those who want to quest in GS (not do questionable stuff) I recommend turning on Chromie time or WM. You’ll have the zone to yourself

Literally level the zone in Chromie time and you’ll avoid the Goldshire problem and the griefer. It’s not that hard.
