Minor change that have no real effect on gameplay to certain specs in order to make them work more in raids, but overall the class still plays the same and has the same role.
I WOULD say, if i had to let ONE change to classic that wasn’t too big: it would be exp in Battle Grounds. Just for those people who are all about PvP over PvE. because realistically: its not gonna effect anything in the long run. its not something like LFD, AoE looting, transmogs, etc. Sure: it might stop twinking, but twinking is those trash pvp players that cant handle fighting people who are on equal gear level as them
Make a clown class that throws pies. It does no damage and cant level. It can forcibly join anyones raid or group but doesnt count towards the cap. You just get to be a giant annoyance towards everyone and thats it.
I’d slightly reduce damage scaling for mages, rogues, warriors, very slightly for locks, so that around Naxx hunters are slightly more viable and hybrid DPS specs are barely acceptable.
There’s no reason to have a pure DPS class with 3 nonviable specs for the duration of an entire content cycle.
It would also make Naxx harder to nerf the other classes rather than buff hunters and hybrids.
Unpopular opinion but duel speccing. Maybe not to the extent as it is in retail, but perhaps a lower amount gold cap before it gets out of hand.
As I’ve mentioned before, I live for PvP, but I know Hemo Sword Rogue in PvE is laughable. I’d enjoy being able to do multiple things rather than dedicating myself to one activity otherwise face expensive consequences to attend PvP and PvE evenly.
Disclaimer; I understand why it’s in the game, and how it effects the economy in Vanilla. Just a personal want rather than an overall need.
Ban of addons that automate the AH. Namely TSM; it has ruined the auction house on modern WoW. (pages full of single-stack listing, insta-sniping of low-marked items.)
I don’t mind addons that make the AH easier to navigate and sort(such as auctioneer), but those that are outright predatory to those without them are just unacceptable.
I think having no duel spec was great specifically because of this. I never had tons of extra gold until wrath, so coming up with a build that was good in both pvp and pve, testing it, refining it, tweaking it, was half the fun and appeal of wow to me.
Gun to my head? Eh, the one thing China did that i liked in wow, Put tombstones where corpses should be, But also keep the skeletons for example. For those who don’t know.
Instead of dual spec I’d change the respec gradient to not be so steep. Measure the amount of time differently. That could tie to having a dual spec though.
barbershop, i think. so handy. cant tell you the amount of times i made a char only to realize it had a nose ring. lol i didnt want a nose ring. would have to log out, delete the char and start all over again, squinting at the screen to see if i could tell what the piercings were
