Sorry to hear that OP. I wish I was in your social circle so I could have told you how you have to play BGs if you’re undergeared.
Basically what I do is run into the fray, die in 2 seconds doing no dmg, wasting healers mana and then repeat.
Repeat repeat repeat until you have the honor you need to get gear that allows you to be somewhat effective.
I’m not saying it’s pretty, but it’s how you have to do it.
In otherwords, you were actively leaching.

If gear is a concern, simply go into AV where the majority of it is PvE-related.
I’ll be ninjaing nodes, ganking people, and sometimes I’ll even defend once I start pvp on this rogue. If I so much as get one suspension for normal gameplay i’ll uninstall for sure. Already half hearted anyway due to the new changes/removed features.
How is defending leeching? Serious question. I assume by your post count that you’re a forum troll. I legitimately cannot kill anything on my own and die to aoe or one row of dots from a geared lock unless I have a healer pocketing me. My defense is much more valuable being able to sap/blind/full kidney EFCs and solo base cappers until someone arrives to help me.
Regardless it’s hilarious that they ban for this when I did literally 5 BGs in total and had maybe like 1k-1.5k honor. If I’m a bg afker why not just give me a debuff from qing bgs? Why does my entire account have to be banned.
Oh well, based on what other folks have said, the automated system is trash in tbc classic and people will get you falsely banned. Meanwhile gold buyers and botters are free to do whatever they want.

? I was banned for non-participation and I’ve never been banned before in this game, I’ll gladly show you the email. All I know is through other guild discords and retail that people can be extremely toxic and say horrible stuff and be banned for less, 1-3 day bans for repeated offenses too.
The ban leads me to believe you weren’t defending.
There are multiple posts here and on Reddit’s complaining about the same issue (I am talking about rogue players in particular) where they try solo defending nodes or sitting back doing bridge distract tricks and they get falsely reported.
And just want to say I’m going to just run in and die now after a few buttons,
but I just find it lame that they are handing out entire week+ account bans for this. They never did that when TBC was current content and still don’t do it on retail to this day

People in this thread who have played tbc classic the entire time are telling me not to defend because people will auto report you if they see you not pushing forward. Not sure how you defend blizzards automated classic ban system in anyway
You probably were told that you didn’t need to defend and asked to go try to steal another node (like + cap). Or you were just botting.
No one blame defenders. People actually get mad when nodes are ghosted.

I didn’t do AB. I was doing AV sitting back for towers and the bridge with distract. Also people literally type in the BG chat “if you’re on defense I’m going to report you for afking” so yeah. Sorry I want to defend our towers and bridge instead of pushing north to die to npcs because I’m greens?
The EXACT SAME rule applies in AV as it does in AB. Players are CONSTANTLY hounding others to backcap bases.

I am not lying. You were not there. You are not playing my character nor were you with me in the 5 battlegrounds I did. People get falsely banned by their automated systems and you have 0 way to prove that it wasn’t the case for me. When I know for a fact it was a false ban because I was playing the entire time. I only earned 1000ish honor. That’s nothing.
