One upside to this downtime

So I jumped on one of my resurrected HC characters transferred to Mankirk. Got in a Stocks run… the non HC game play reminds me of retail… no thanks. The upside here is now I won’t waste a second on the fresh non HC servers.

HC 4lyfe.

I prefer my increased polygon count, personally.

I will play softcore when TBC drops but up until then its hardcore all the way baby. Hunter was amazing to probe the water but now ill roll a healer to raid on fresh.

Hardcore is the only mode that reminds me of the game that i fell in love with back then.

The comunity is real and players dont leave to make pizza pops in the middle of a dungeon . Hc is the only way

OK TY!!!我懂了,谢谢

And how, exactly, does Mankrik differ from the HC servers apart from the HC rules … ‘gameplay’ in ‘era’ is the same for all realms … /confused

I disagree, and I’m bringing receipts.

First, I will agree that HC is a completely different game. But…

A fresh server is a rare experience, especially PvP. When DD was resurrected as a Re-Fresh server, it was some of the most fun I’ve had in WoW. The DD community was very similar to the HC community and camaraderie was high.

The playstyle is a little more loose, but no where near what Retail was when i quit, or what I’ve heard it is like now. People still don’t want their character or, more importantly, anyone in their group to die.

I will also concede that after the fresh servers age, it does drift more towards what I call the ‘retail attitude’. But I think, with TBC only 1 year out, there is a lot of good times to be had right now and after it drops.

HC, w/ no TBC to look forward to, well… it will always be there. And, I’m sure i’ll be back, but right at the start of a fresh that was created for a streamer guild. No thank you.

Agree. I found a causal-type community for the non-HC fresh with a couple hundred people in it already that are planning raids 2-3 months out. With the first month being loaded with fresh players the starting zones through the mid-30 zones will be very populated with people just enjoying the journey after 5 years with no fresh.

I am also going to do HC and kind of level them side by side til I die lmao (unintended rhyme) but I am excited for non-HC as well. Though I disagree that it was created for streamers. Streamers are doing alright with the current HC servers.

Fresh was not created for “Streamers”. It was created for everyone to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Wow.
How clueless you must be and claiming “receipts”?
You’re just ANOTHER Boohoo’r that I’ve seen type your nonsense since May 2004 because you can’t have your way.

And as always with YOUR KIND…See you in Fresh.

haha, I knew that was gonna get some reactions.

We can all say it was made for the community… but Blizzard literally reached out to Chance (Sodapoppin) and told him to delay his plans for Onlyfangs because they had a surprise for him in November.

Either way, the Horde side will be loaded with streamers and their simps, have fun!

As for your ‘personal comments’… you don’t know me, i don’t know you… keep it to the subject matter if you want anyone to listen to you. Have a wonderful day!

just play fresh :expressionless: do not resist the allure of fresh. give into the fresh.

Good question. I’m an old school EQ player. OG Vanilla and TBC required (at least back then) crowd control, which I prefer. It’s the opposite of charge into a pack of mobs and pew pew pew them down with very little care if the group wipes. (this Stocks run had 3 wipes as the tank was extremely aggressive) Some prefer that style, to each their own.

Due to the HC rule set: Death = Delete, play style requires groups to be cautious. Take it slower, sometimes CC. Add in the SF rule and it’s even better since players aren’t twinked out adding to the difficulty. (Not to mention the SF part making quest rewards and random green drops much more meaningful)

TLDR: HC provides more of a challenge. Non HC is mindless button mashing.
