Just like the title says, what is one thing YOU would’ve changed about Shadowlands, anything at all ![]()
Same with BFA, get rid of the annoying trash systems and currencies and let us just play the flipping content itself without the time wasting busy work
decent rewards in torghast or at least being able to save after starting it, so if bio or phone break you dont come back to your dead toon
I didn’t have to pick up Callings before doing them. When you have multiple characters you still get in the habit of going out to someplace, do the required criteria, then find out you forgot to pick up the quest.
It would have been better if we had seen less of the Shadowlands. We should have had a new hub city in Northrend and venture into the Shadowlands to certain zones. More of the Shadowlands should have been left a mystery.
Ion being in charge of it.
He’s a lawyer, not a game developer.
His justifications for decisions make negative sense, which is probably why he had to stop being a lawyer.
And he either can’t spell Ian or can’t pronounce ion—take your pick.
i would of made the covenant thing more of an aesthetic/story thing rather then tie it to an ability that wasn’t properly balanced for all specs/gameplay.
you will always have people choosing a particular one for it’s power and a LARGE amount of people as well.
I’d take the person that thought a mountless Maw was a good idea and move them into the cafeteria kitchen, they can scrub pots and pans for the next decade.
I would have made the zones connected.
The way its set up makes traversal a slog to do.
Callings and world quests in shadowlands were boring enough as it is.
They didnt need to make getting between zones a manditory 2 minute flight path on top of that.
If I could change one thing about SL, I’d have made it so the head of narrative was anyone other than Danuser.
The absolute bungling of covenants was the root of the largest number of issues.
We should have belonged to all 4 covenants and spent renown in a giant tech tree to unlock features, content, and abilities from the covenants in whatever order we wished.
The covenants “being at war” thing never made sense, from Day One they were sending us out to help the other covenants, through callings.
Remove all artificial gating.
Open the damn game up from the start. We don’t like tedium for the sake of tedium.
The Classic players do, but that’s where tedium should go.
I would have removed PvP gear upgrading stuff.
Me playing it.
Who in their right mind seriously thought that covenant aesthetic and flavor would outweigh performance.
That Ret Paladin 95% Kyrian pick rate is a meme.
lmao.
I would have put loot in Torghast like we had in Beta, made it feel like a separate game from WoW, could go there for a change of pace and scenery, then Blizz destroyed it.
You’re nicer than me. I would have thrown them in the dumpster along with everybody else seemingly against players flying.
I probably would have had the covenant switching but keeping your renown and I’d do more with Torghast and definitely more with Twisting Corridors. I know a lot of people hated it, but I really enjoyed it, but after a bit it was fairly useless. I know “if the content is fun you don’t need rewards”, but I think there is somewhere in the middle of rewards good enough that people feel compelled and rewards so bad you feel like you are negatively impacting your character by taking time to do it.
