I don’t think it would be that difficult for us to get upscaled images for our loading screens, as they are now they can get very pixelated the older they get.

Yeah loading screens are at the top of the list my guy.
If you upgrade to a SSD and better internet this is even less of an issue.

I’m not upset that it’s old, I just wish we could have nicer loading screens to look at with updated art if they can’t get upscales.
Or at the very least, add loading screens to the API so we can change them with addons.

I understand the feeling, but Blizzard probably won’t use AI to upscale anything because it’s bad PR. And if they try to upscale the old fashioned way, that’s a lot of work.
And if they are going to put all that work in upscaling images, then I’d rather they start with player armor textures.
That Black Mageweave Set could use some HD textures lol

Those Cataclysm era comic book loadscreens for Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor are rough. That is some ugly artwork for a game making as much money as WoW was coming off Wrath.

If you have a fast SSD and Internet, how are you complaining over an image you see for 2-4 seconds? There’s better ways to spend the art team’s dollars than on this (i.e., I agree with @Kalappghar this isn’t a top priority).
someone looks like they got lost and thought they were in the classic forums. there are actual mods here buddy. this aint the classic forums where you can just flame away all day.
loading screens are an antiquated way of switching between specific servers in order to transition the game into a new set up. It’s 2024. There should no longer be loading screens. The Garrison is proof of that. You can walk right through the front gate and into your Garrison, which is a complete separate instance all to itself with lots of moving parts. if they use that technology in every other part of the game, we would never have to use another loading screen.
