Was the CGI cinematics.
BFA had a bunch of these CGI, one more bealtiful and the other. Like the “Old Soldier”, “Lost honor” and “Reckoning” ones.
These kinds of cinematics would be awesome now in Dragonflight, with all this Dragons and elements theme.
Why they didn’t have made more of these?

You’re ready for a WoW anime series too huh?
WoW cinematics are wicked, more would be awesome, anime series also great idea!
Stay cool OP!
i remember a while back in bfa they said that every expansion they try to do something different and that bfa was a perfect chance to tell the story of the orc in cgi or whatever. i think danuser said that in an interview.
i guess the scope of SL and dragonflight is too big to warrant huge cgi cutscenes itd be a lot of work.
Too expensive for those Hollywood quality cgi scenes.
A lot of money, time, planning, and resources go into cinematics and cutscenes like that. I think the reason we didn’t get any in SLs and so far in DF is because these types of cinematics in BfA were planned months in advance. I think they’re just winging it since SLs poor reception and can’t afford to make a cinematic that may or may not get used due to a quick shift in narrative and story direction.
Yuor bealtiful, yuor bealtiful. Yuor bealtiful, is tru. I sawr yuor feiss im a croudid pleiss… Ent I dount gno wot two dou… Cos isle nevah bee wif yuo…
This not totally right. We at least got an extra cinematic for both SL and DF.
Great just more pointless cutscenes for me to skip pass. Wish they would get rid of all of them for good. Quests and the story are just speed bumps on the road to getting to play the actual game.
Those, while nice, weren’t like the BfA quest/story cinematics. I thought those style would carry over to future expansions, but I can only assume that more weren’t made because the story of SLs had to change direction on a dime due to negative player reaction.
Too many people were getting injuries from smashing the escape key.
