was in the scorched grove just doing my thing fighting this tree. then suddenly it does over 900 damage to me and i die at 85 percent health. feelsbad was doing iron man at least it didn’t get to far lol i tried to put the link and image but i guess i cant

You probably tries to solo Old Whitebark, an elite. Eversong Forest is a Burning Crusade zone, when elite mobs were elites, not loot piñatas, so you weren’t supposed to be soloing him.
Still, there are reports in places like WowHead of his debuff doing a lot more damage than he originally used to, so there’s probably another damage scaling bug here.
i feel you are right about the damage scaling and odly plus the unit is no longer marked as a elite but nice to know that.
yeah so I was trying to do the quest as well and he wound up one-shotting me for 1,353 shadow damage (290 overkill). Definitely think he’s missed the scaling train.
