I have come across a particular Druid, a few times and a couple others. All they have to do is swipe everyone around them and everyone dies. They can not even be killed by 20+ players targeting them. I know why as well. The Mythic gear ect… they are wearing.
This is causing a severe in balance in Epic Battlegrounds. When one team just needs one person to wipe everyone out for them, and there is nothing no one can do about it? That will cause people to leave or quit. I have been here since 2005. Not going anywhere. But this… it’s out of control. I remember the days when it was more about skill and not gear. AND ESPECIALLY… “Arena Ratings” lulz. Kids.
This is not about “getting good” or whatever. Using one ability that kills an entire 40 man group has nothing about skill. A lot of people use these to gear up in, as it is the fastest way to do so.
No challenge. No chance of scales tipping. No randomness in outcomes. Just pure carnage of the opposing team. Then have the rest of the BG be of people coming and going because of one player. Causing who knows how many people’s time being wasted having to wait 15 minutes.
Oh, and for the first time EVER playing since 2005, I came across my first hackers. Isle of Conquest last night. 2 people on top of the Alliance cannons. Somehow shooting everywhere on the map. Killing everyone pretty much instantly.
There’s a bear spec going around that’s doing crazy DPS while having all the tanky benefits being a bear provides. I ran into it this morning in Solo Shuffle.
Naturally I’m already at a disadvantage since Druids are 99% of the time immune to Poly and can shift out of Frost Nova and Chills. All I can say is be wary: Bears are scary!
…was it’s name Thestevebear? Or another random one that’s running around? Only takes 1 Guardian Druid in Mythic gear, with the right talents, to be a “mini-raid boss” that 1v20s the other team in an EBG

Like I said, just takes a bear druid in full Mythic BiS gear to basically be unkillable (while being able to 1v10 while winning/taking almost no damage) due to all the imbalanced prepatch sillyness
Anyone that plays epic BGs semi-regularly will have encountered one of the bear Druids described by the OP, especially if they’ve dabbled during the past few weeks. Yes, there really are broken/OP bears semi-solo’ing the other team in like a 1v15 (…except that 1 bear actually wins versus those 15)
It’s got nothing to do with prepatch. I actually know exactly who the OP is talking about and can name drop if you wish. They’ve been at it for a while now, long before prepatch. They queue for ashran and solo barrel into the horde team at roc and take out half the raid in seconds due to a stacking swipe bleed dot. Anyone not in tank spec gets killed super fast.
That being said, there’s also a VDH tank that was able to solo Vol with the entire horde raid team attacking him and his health never went below 50%. But I only saw that once.
Some of this is all systems up in pvp. play covenant cards right you get the best of both worlds. that one ability now in tree mixed with your other actual covenant.
but…some pvp beta streamers showed some issues in a beta its just DF setup.
for pvp the devs seemed to think who would not take this ability. answer…a min/maxer. point off an ability (if not skipped entirely) they deemed less useful to get more wanted stuff.
I still say they should have desynce sl code from pvp for this. its tied to it and not sure why. a few weeks of pvp data pure DF olnly systems by the masses would have been nicer, imo.
the vendor in sl oribos? they could have swung by the classic cubicles for ideas. even our tbcc gear vendors were in the old capital city pvp building. didn’t want to see shattrath for gear? well go to org/sw. a move that made sense to me.
unless on a pvp server almost no reason to go to go to tbcc at the end. pvp servers had the open world pvp motivation. go hunt some levelers or people farming loose ends. and daily tower flip quests.
Basic wrath gear there too even now. dalaran is really arena only. most wrath gear…I get in SW since not arena rated.
Please re-read, the “OP” bear druids pulling off the hilarious 1v10s or 1v15s in epic BGs (…while winning the exchange) are all in Mythic-tier gear or duelist+ gear… these guys all seem to be 295+
