We can safely assume we aren’t getting a 9.3 now. Even getting a 9.2 now would be a stretch with the latest news unless Blizzard does a 3 year expansion. I don’t think Bobby K would be cool with that.
A one patch expansion will be way more hurtful then WoD’s 2 patches. I don’t think Blizzard has a Legion expansion up their sleeve to help them recover.
Patch 9.1.5 might be it.

9.2 will probably just be a new raid and minor story stuff and daily hub in a re-used area.

I don’t think it means the expansion is ending. Ultimately this situation is not going to last forever. At some point it’ll be worked out and resolved and WoW will get moving again. Because if it doesn’t then many people will be out of jobs and Blizz will lose their biggest game. None of the devs, guilty or innocent, want that to happen.
It depends how long the hiatus goes on, it could be even just days. But at worst it’ll probably just be a delay of some kind for the next couple patches like 9.1.
9.2 still has to happen, that’s a given. And a 9.3 is not off the table either. Otherwise again the game is going to massively tank in the cataclysmic content drought till 10.0. It’s in everyone’s interest to not do that, they just have to get out of these muddy waters.
Expect the next patch to be something like Hour of Twilight where it was mostly re-used assets.
Sadly Tencent will buy it. And I don’t Tencent to take away Warcraft IP from the West.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see 9.2 back in Icecrown with the Jailer using ICC as his base. Reskin of ICC with new NPCs for bosses to end the expansion.

There is no chance we do not get a 9.2, stop that nonsense. We will more than likely get a 9.3 as well, as no expansion has even been announced and with no Blizzcon this year the chances of them releasing an expansion announcement outside of a Blizzcon are nill.
This lawsuit isn’t going to effect a majority of the team, they will still be working on the game. The lawsuit doesn’t stop all work on the game, jesus. We will get a 9.2 for sure. 9.3 yes can be iffy but more than likely we will get a 9.3. There has been no word on an expansion, and Blizzcon is over a year + out. They are not going to have us go with no content for over a year to a year and a half. Stop it.

That was an outlier and they gave all the information at Blizzcon a short while after. They have never done that again. I don’t see them doing that again, especially with how everything is going now.
