Thought I’d jump on the forum and say hi, and just to preface I did play the original. I played at launch but unfortunately real life happened and so it was only for a few glorious months. I tried to play again back when the world was destroyed (don’t remember what that expansion was called) but the game didn’t seem the same, so I bounced and never looked back. Found out blizzard brought back the original and actually got excited to give it another shot.
I played as a hunter back then and decided to play a hunter again. Sadly I had to get on a PVE server and I thought I’d hit the ground running but fml have i forgotten everything abut this game, EVERYTHING. I play like a total jerk now and have to learn every lil thing all over again. But I’m enjoying it so far so we’ll see what happens. Maybe I’ll actually make it to 60 this time. 
As a side note I discovered that classic has its own forum and thought it would be a good place to learn and catch up on what I’ve missed, but holy hell is there a lot of anger. Might I suggest everybody just take it easy, it’s only a game…it’s not real.

make sure you turn off growl on your pet in dungeons
Don’t forget to dismiss your pet regularly as well.
You’ll have to learn how to time your skills as if you misstime or just press buttons randomly you can reduce your dps by nearly 1/2
There are PvP servers without queues… You didn’t HAVE to go PvE.
Yeah but Azeroth will always take a back seat to Earth., and I simply don’t have time for that jazz today. I have fond memories of spending half my play time on gankfest corpse runs, but I don’t game as much as I used to…good times!
PvE is definitely the way to go if you don’t have tons of time to play and want to guarantee you get to end game content.

This forum seems to be primarily used by some as an outlet to vent their disappointment over the fact that Classic has thus far failed to meet a state of perfection that probably exists only in their imagination, and anything short of that utopia is a failure to them; folks with limited vision and even more limited wisdom.
If you’re looking for useful information on Hunters, a good place to start is classic-wowhead-com (replace dashes with dots … MOAR DOTs!).

I did think about playing a warrior this time instead but I didn’t want the responsibility that goes with it. And I think I remember leveling a warrior was sloooooow, and with a steep learning curve.
I can understand that. I have limited time myself. I’m kind of regretting rolling PvP due to the limited time. Fun though!
