My guild wants ilvl 405 for Aberrus Normal, and I’ve started at 395 and shot up to 404 using the crafting token.
But that last point… That damnable point! It taunts me! Mocks me! I’ve got one last shot for the weekly Mythic Dungeons…

You can do it! …or ya can’t. Don’t let me know either way, thanks. See? I helped. ![]()
You know what I do when I’m too low of an Ilvl for content? I get geared :3
Yes! Hit the 405 mark! Aberrus here I come!
There’s a new weekly quest that requires you to do 5 heroic dungeons and rewards a 415 or so item. I don’t know if you’ve done it yet.
It’s in the same library where you hand in the moneys that drop from raids to get reputation and where you used to get the 2 weekly dungeon quests for rep.
Just 1 point, I doubt that your guild’s that rigid!
He already did it, yet, as an officer of a guild that’s been around since WoD, I can say that if you set a rule, it’s better if you follow that rule strictly. Otherwise, players might get the wrong message.
For example, some might think that some players are privileged by the officers, or that other rules are optional as well.
IMHO, the only time when you can skip a rule for someone is when and if you’re already in discord with all the raid group and you ask if someone opposes a certain rule to be overlooked that one time (and even that I’d do only sparingly).
Right because strict rules equals fun. my favorite thing to hear in any hobby as rules are rules.
Puts me in the playing spirit

Some people prefer it that way. Actually, a lot of people in raids prefer for rules to be clear and respected.
You’d be surprised to hear it, but I’ve seen people leaving a guild giving as the reason that X rule wasn’t enforced enough (for example, not everyone using all their consumibles).
That’s not for everyone, sure. I totally understand if that’s not for you, but my experience (which is only my experience, of course it can be wrong) tells me it’s better to not have a lot of rules, but to be strict and enforce every rule equally for everyone (specially the officers or guild master’s friends).
Dude I was just pushing back a little.
That’s fine to have structure.
It’s fine to be flexible.
Play how you want
Your last shot is actually the Great Vault or new weekly events on the next reset. Or you could find another guild.
Okay. Sure.
And yeah, play how you want.
I was just giving a point of view from the other side (an officer who enforces a similar rule).
The dopey 422 Ring from Forgotten Isles will go a long way…
