Last month I posted that my rep was as follows:
My rep was:
Val → 21
Walrus Peeps → 14
Niffles → 10
Dragon Scale → 8
Centaurs → 8
Figured I’d Provide an update a month later:
My current rep:
Val → 30
Walrus Peeps → 28
Niffles → 18
Dragon Scale → 25
Centaurs → 24
In about a month’s time I am max in 2 and super close to being max for the other 3. And I’m sure I didn’t do it optimally at all.
I still don’t like a lot of things being locked behind rep, but this was easier than I had assumed. And I hate to admit it, but I found it rather enjoyable unlocking several toys / mounts I didn’t know about. Dare I say, I actually have been having fun getting this rep…
I still wish Bliz would say “this is the exact requirements for pathfinder / old world / static flying” so those who need to catch up can start working on it.

The requirements are shown with the achievement on the PTR. Renown/Reputation wise, you need rank 15 in all DF factions. You also need to finish the main campaigns in each zone.
Here are screenshots of the requirements: https://imgur.com/a/z7BTD09
They could change but pathfinder generally only requires open world content to complete.

Yep, I’m also finding rep to be MUCH MUCH faster than I assumed it would be based on what I’ve heard.
Yes - however last month too a Blue Post mentioned that “the requirments for patherfinder were not finalized on the PTR yet” and I have not seen any update since.
That uncertainty is what has me slightly annoyed!
But this does give us stuff to work towards.
I came back a bit over a month ago after taking a break shortly after Vault of the Incarnates released. Went a bit too hardcore when Dragonflight launched, got burnt out, etc. Saw the mount dropping off Myth Fyrakk and went, “Welp, guess I gotta Mythic raid next tier because I NEED THAT!”
I think my highest Renown was Valdrakken Accord at like 18 or the Maruuk Centaur because of how much you could farm via Hunts? I was close to being able to do the Chronocloth Bags because I had been pushing that before I stopped playing. Either way, I’ve managed to max all of those, didn’t start the Zaralek Cavern storyline or work on the Loamm Niffen Renown till afterwards, and I’m almost at 19 with them.
So the only thing I’m iffy on now is if I’ll get Keystone Hero done before the season ends which is mostly due to my own health issues limiting how much I can do keys on top of me being in a bit of a sweet spot where my IO and list of completed dungeons is gets me the side eye from pugs. And I accept that if I don’t get it, I don’t get it.
I have nothing to add to this post except I like your hat.

See.
All it takes is simply playing the game casually.
Glad you saw the light instead of just QQ on the forum for the last month like so many others who would be exactly where you are.
My rep
Val → 8
Walrus Peeps → 3
Niffles → 0
Dragon Scale → 2 or 3
Centaurs → 5
And they wont get much higher then that

How though? World quests?
DMF and the Forbidden Reach XP buffs helped a bunch. As well as contracts with some faction. I did the stories, dailies, and world events (cooking, dragon bane keep, centaur hunts, etc). WQs were a key component sure, but looking at the WoW Head rep guides really helped.
The weekly Aiding the Accord + the weekly heroic dungeon quests of course also helped a lot.
If i hate anything about retail, its this. I do not want to research rep grinds. Then grind gated rep.

Why do people skip Neltharus?
It’s less “skip” and more “haven’t gotten around to it.” I’ve also been super focused on getting at least one TWing done on all my alts for the 500 every week, plus last week I was trying to get the two 15s done for Break the Meta so my S/O and I could get the toy. This Warlock has been Destro since I made her in Cata and my S/O has been Boomie since she started playing in Legion, so we were both carried by a small streamer friend we randomly made because I can’t play Affliction or Demo for the life of me and changes to things (like the UI breaking with an update and trying to fix it at times) can be easily overwhelming for her, which is completely valid.
I’m hoping to get 18s done on everything this weekend, but that entirely depends how I’m feeling since I’m getting my flu shot and COVID booster here in about two hours and from what a lot of our friends are saying it’s knocking them out. So I’m either gonna be in-game and yelling at the screen as I get it done or I’m gonna be in bed staring at the ceiling weakly begging for an end to my suffering.
Maybe… we’re very deep into the PTR cycle and this patch will probably be released before the end of the year. I don’t actually see to many changes happening to it.
Generally, if you meet all the prerequisites, you can usually finish Pathfinder in a week or two after release.
Good for you playing the game how you want. We should all enjoy playing in a way that makes us most happy with the game instead of feeling obligated to fill rep bars.
You’d think after this many years. Hmm pathfinder started in WoD so more than six years maybe eight? Anyway a long time. You’d think that players would be expect it and prepare for it. Still every expansion when it rolls around “wahhhh I have to play tie game to play the game!!!”
