One m+ run cost

Three star flask of swiftness: 700 gold

Three star mana oil: 300 gold

Hearty feast: 7000.

Using all this stuff at the start of a key only to brick it half way, take another 30 minutes to find a group just to see 2 minutes remaining and using it all again? : priceless.

But seriously… even if you dont get feasts, the fact that it costs almost 1000 gold to run 1-2 dungies is kind of nuts.

Rolled an Earthen and allchemy just so i could save some money on consumables. The fact that even if you complete a key, you get 50gold is a bit insulting.

I run somewhere between 10 and 20 keys per week. So again, if i dont get feast, i lose 20000 a week. Why? Why?! At least let timed keys reward 800 gold or something to somewhat recoup the cost.

Let completed keys 1-5 give 200 gold
5-8 400 gold
9+ 1000 gold.

Use rank 2 and spend way less. You really don’t lose that much to make buying r3 worth the cost.

Why are you popping R3 potions and flasks? Just use the much much cheaper R2 versions.

Feasts are like 600g, if that’s too much then use regular food.

Yeah thats crazy i run rank 2 flask and a jesters board sometimes rank 2 oil at most and have had no issue aside from qeuing as a ret and getting declined for an hour before getting into a key. Just do mechanics and win your ilvl is plenty high enough.

Rank 2 flask 200g, belledars bounty 50g, tier 2 mana oil 50g. No death = profit.

if you use consumables in under 12, that’s most definitely a personal choice you are choosing to make
except healthpots maybe

These are just the material costs of running M+.

You’re not including the worst of the prices paid, that being your dignity, sanity, and potentially a keyboard or monitor if things go awry.

I suggest if you’re going high dollar to blow all your gold on carries for all 8 +10’s each week.

Why would you use a heart feast lol? There is personal stat food for cheap or if you are feeling generous you could just drop a regular feast for the boys.

I’ve done up to 13s and never even seen a hearty feast in a M+ dungeon.

Not really. You can earn 1,000g from running a heroic dungeon if your role has call to arms or whatever. Or just spend $20 buy a WoW token and you are good to go for 250 dungeons or so. A single $20 token would get you enough gold to last pretty much a whole season of keys if you truly aren’t interested in farming any gold whatsoever which is a reasonable cost.

but you see how this really shouldn’t be a solution.

also in a timed key the only way to have a food buff is to have a hearty meal simply because you don’t have time to sit after a death to munch.

Yeah i could go with lower grade consumables. probably should. still, i feel that all food should be hearty by default. why, sweet baby jesus, why do i have to combine 5 foods to make a super special food? good lord. I miss the food pocket

Why not? The token exists as a way for people to bypass farming gold for those that do not find farming gold fun.

Or just don’t die. Again, I’ve done up to +13s, I’ve never even seen a hearty feast in a key.

Most people are doing this:

3 star mana oil because they are super cheap regardless of rank.
2 star flask because they are much higher value and the difference in stats is negligible.
2 star potion because they are super duper cheap and not much difference in stats.
Beledar’s Bounty for food because it’s dirt cheap.
Draconic augment rune if you played DF.

Eventually the cost of 3 star flasks and potions will go down and people will switch to those.

For me it is 1k gold in repairs.I get flasks and other stuff from my alt

You’re not doing keys high enough that you need this.

I have timed multiple keys where I sit and eat after a death.

That’s on the low end. I am typically using several algari health pots, and cavedwellers (since they don’t share the same CD) as well. I very rarely will use a tempered pot but I also am healing and tend to use healing potions to cover myself during mechanics as I use my CDs on other folks.

Not using health pots and cavedwellers in keys is a good way to brick them on weeks like this one with a huge health absorb affix that some people can’t/won’t dispel.

It’s insanely expensive, and blows my mind that the content doesn’t give more sellables or gold. Sellables being the preferred option as htey don’t bring in more gold to the economy. Every other mmo I’ve played for decades now that has harder content like m+ has it at least break even if not being pretty profitable (see veteran hard mode stuff in ESO).

I usually spend about 5k a week on consumes but typically I only get the two star quality. The difference is pretty minuscule between them. Much more sustainable that way.

Lol make your own feasts, they’re free that way.

I’m trying to get the last recipes for those big feasts myself so I can sell them to folks like yourself that try to be on the cutting edge with consumables.

Even though you likely don’t need to be.

Still, I’d like to make some money off ya.

People aren’t leveling their fishing and cooking, so I’m gonna make money off those that need these items.

Why do you use expensive feasts on randos?

Invite me over for your runs <3 good food mate.

Blizzard doesn’t want us to make gold from m+.

But if they were going to add something I’d prefer materials based on your professions.

play an earthern, no need to eat! there ya go saved you some coin!

but wow, i guess now i can see why people sell mythic runs for so much gold
