Hello most amazing class ever!
I spec protection for questing and delves, and when I play as heals for 95% of the time and run with my husband on his pally I oft wonder how he can run massive damage. Then One Button was introduced and of course now I’m using it and as a 20+ year healer who have zero idea on how to dps/do damage this is a game changer for me. I can do 4-5M AOE damage in delves and the current Nemesis packs even on my baby pallies at 650 gear are so easy, solo. Those nerubian lords are no longer scary. There is a spell that is called “executed” and forgive this pally for not knowing what that is. What is that or what triggers that? Sometimes the mob has 50% health and just gets “executed”.
Any help to make me understand “what I did right” would be appreciated. Help this old lady please. Be gentle!

i mean we cant really help you in any way without a log or something
paladin doesnt have a execute that should do that, maybe its brann doing something in delves. we do have hammer of wrath but it shouldnt be killing bugs from 50%
hmm I just see scrolling combat text that says “EXECUTED!” and yes I do spec Brann as DPS with my pallies.

its probabl ya brann ability then thats executing your targets
whats your average rotation for your paladins? to give me a idea where you can improve
cause first thing, obr doesnt press your cds. so you have to press those manuelly, like wings if your not running radiant glory.
a talent tree would be nice too

Ok so I have never played prot, only ret. I’m looking at the OBR abilities for prot and it has:
Avenger’s Shield
Consecration
Divine Toll
Eye of Tyr
Hammer of the Righteous
Hammer of Wrath
Judgment
Shield of the Righteous
If you are ONLY using OBR, it could be any of these abilities,
OR
it could be a trinket passive effect (the trinket would explain it under “Equip:”),
OR
it could be a Brann effect/curios.
(Am I missing anything?)
The text itself could also be from an add-on so we may not see it without your setup.
I guess you could try a target dummy/toy and spam individual OBR abilities without trinkets, with trinkets, outside delves, inside delves, to try to narrow it down?

obr shouldnt trigger brann curios, all of those are passives, i dont think it triggers trinkets so if its on use, bind them to your bar click it
obr is kinda strange for tanks, cause straight up. theyre not good, your missing alot of your defensive abilities like ardent, spellwarding, kings, ect ect ect wings
shield of the rightous is also off the gcd so your ment to spam that since its your oinly offensive spender

Brann has a 2 minute CD as DPS where he just straight up Executes mobs.

I was thinking because they were passives they could still pop off, I know trinkets aren’t in the OBR but that doesn’t mean their passive abilities would be turned off somehow. At least that’s my understanding.

Hi all thanks for the replies! Here’s my pally and basically the same talent I used for all my delvers.
The only reason why I am seeing it on my pallies is because I run prot/DPS on Brann vs heals/tank with my druids/monks … I thought the pallies are just AWESOME (well I know you are!)
Just opened Brann’s DPS talents and it’s his Kill Shot ability, Math is right!
As far as other non OBR -defensive spells are concerned I put the buttons around One Button and sort of incorporated it around the rotation too when the heavy damage comes up.

Still not working for HPal. Everyone still dies.
The OBR isn’t meant for healing and it won’t heal. It just does DPS.
No healing.
No defensive.
No interrupts.
No stuns.
No CC’s.
Yes, I was kind of tongue-in-cheek answering on that one. I keep threatening to use it in raids and M+ for healing.
