One button rotation needs customization

Alright so on warlock I use one button rotation when I feel lazy but noticing that it is spending all my shards on rain if fire and not chaos bolt if there is more than 1 enemy around. it will NEVER give the option to chaos bolt if theres more than 1.

This thing needs to be customized to exclude certain spells from it for how poorly optimized it is on which spells are even appropriate…

I agree that this would be nice. Should allow some customization and sharing of settings even.

Isn’t it interesting that they complain about addons playing the game for you like an hour after releasing an option to have the game literally play itself for you…

It’s not supposed to be optimized. It’s an intentionally worse shortcut method.

I use it on my crappy little mage and hate that it opens with the big meteor thingy because most of the time it’s wasted because stuff runs at me and out of the circle, i’d rather that spell were excluded so i could just use it when it makes the most sense.

One button rotation should instead be deleted given their war against addons.

It plays WORSE for you. Nobody is going into a Mythic 10 using OBR. I can certainly see people using it on M0 or even M2s but once you get higher than that, the roughly 20% loss of DPS is going to be pretty telling.

To be fair, that 20% loss is pitting optimal play against the one button rotation, if the person in question wasn’t that good to begin with, the one button rotation may end up being an improvement for them lol

(me on my crappy mage that i have no idea how to play for example :joy:)

You could have the International Space Station of WeakAura packs, and that’s not going to make you play perfectly either.

I went into m+10 and did bad dps with obr, but I did go there.

honestly, this is insignificant.

People have gone higher than that with it.

The other 4 people weren’t using OBR though, they were extremely high skilled players.

i thought it was supposed to be an accessibility feature? The handicap is the increase in GCD. It should be customizable…

That seems unnecessary with how simple most rotations are going to be in Midnight. There will be a lot of 3 button specs.

It’s absolutely not an accessibility feature, and Blizzard lies by saying that it is.

It’s great that you have functionality to use a full keyboard well. Many don’t. For many it might be a lazy option to play a class they don’t want to learn. For others it is 100% an accessibility feature that allows them to play content they previously couldn’t. I know some specs for me, make my hand sore and i can’t play them (looking at you guardian druid). So this opens up classes that were previously locked to me due regular rotation spamming.

Absolutely completely agree with you.

While it would be a massive DPS loss on this toon, it actually almost doubled my DPS on my Shadow Priest. Which I obviously sucked at.

Yeah, i wouldn’t dream of using it on my main, but for crappy alts that never get much playtime, it’s awesome to be able to watch a movie and just spam one button in Delves lol

It was supposed to be for accessibility but also to “teach” people the intended rotation. It isnt doing that when its prioritizing the wrong spells.

What does it let people access, and is it reasonable to let people access those?

The GCD penalty is the intentionally worse part.

Allowing people to customize and decide how much control they have vs the OBR could act as a learning tool.
