Well I tried the One Button and the Single Button Assistant. I doubt I will be using the One Button and will only be using the Single Button Assistant if we lose HeKili which is a much better system.
I admit I am one of the worst players in WoW but even I can see the problems. The button that theOne Button the system selects at any time or the Single Button Assistant selection recommends, completely disregards cool downs and for MM Hunters it completely ignores the Hunters Mark and all crowd control.
One example, after Hunter’s Mark I like to start my attacks with Aimed Shot so the delay won’t happen with mobs and bosses running at you. The button often starts with Volly or Rapid Shot which are better used after Hunters Mark and Aimed Shot.
Now as I said I’m not much of a player but this is not rocket science, it’s pretty much MM Hunter 101.
As for Hekili, it doesn’t get all these things right either but at least they give you the top three choices, not just one, which makes it easier as you are learning the class/spec.
In general, One Shot is not going to have a major impact on high level content, either Mythic or Heroic anything. It’s not even going to help anyone learn how DPS works on their spec. Hekili does a much better job at that.
Maybe it will help really low level players but again Hekili does that a whole lot better.

I spoke with my father, who still plays wow in his 70’s…HE was looking forward to a 1 button rotation. He uses a mouse macro now. HE said its not using any of his big GCD’s nor any of the smaller ones. I’ll have to take his word as I have never played a pally. He has been playing a pally since 2005.
Overall he is pissed off. His mouse macro that helped him is gone and replaced with something worse.
Dad is going through chemo and cant even play wow happily.
Please fix this bliz .
IMO it was never meant to teach anybody how to DPS. The most that it does is help those with particular disabilities.
If I wanted to learn the ropes of my class spec… I would reach out to a friend immediately. Or a video feed.
I agree on that but I’ve found that Hekili has helped me a lot, showing me some things I had not even considered.
Well. I suppose I fell into your Hekili advertisement then. Lol
We can’t like something without it being an advertisement?
It’s complicated.
All depends on where the ad is coming from. All Twitch ads are ignored. YT follows suit. Basically anywhere else.
The WoW forums… well, that’s different. One that I don’t mind adapting to.
Nothing is gone or removed though?
It’s not really an advertisement just to point out that Hekili is miles better than the topic being discussed. Perhaps it will get the devs to look into improvements.
I agree. By the way, I don’t think anyone gets paid for doing addons.
