One button leads to new problems

So far the most common argument I’ve seen is “people are already cheating” or akin to that. But I don’t care if some people who don’t know how to play/want to learn how to play a DPS want to hit a single button. My main concern is doesn’t this make cheating more accessible to people who aren’t savvy or privy to prior methods?

Off the top of my head I can think of quite a few ways to exploit the one button rotation for the bad actors. It really makes automating the game through “allowed(?)” means a bit more accessible does it not? Am I overreacting?

Obviously I don’t want to explain how or encourage people to cheat so I’ll leave it at that. Just let me know what you guys think. I am sure Blizzard considered this but it might be unavoidable.

Probably. GSE and other macro type versions have existed for ages.

If someone decides to bot with it, they’ll get banned.

I don’t see an epidemic of such things happening.

From experience:

I asked myself this at least 1,000 times. Maybe even 5,000. If you have to ask, you most definitely are.

Spinning heads are no joke and hard to control.

Right but this allows for macros/scripts to have a simpler and more plausibly deniable route.

I am indeed, yes. It WAS called Asperger Syndrome. But they renamed it to “Autism Spectrum Disorder”.

I think it’s completely lame. That only worsens our situation because we’re at a communication fault already.

But at least I got a beautiful galaxy in my head. :innocent:

As long as it takes a human finger to press that button, and if they can detect it with their “Warden” program (they can), it should be OK.

Ah yes it was my human finger hitting it over and over again for 50 hours straight, I swear!! They couldn’t prove otherwise. I might actually do that.

Right now, the only problem I see it creating is more the sky is falling threads.

I think the DPS loss from the extra global cool down that they added to the button highlight and one button rotation make both pretty unappealing to bots.

It’s like having a tool assisted speedrun where the computer is doing all the inputs for you but you’re forced to make the computer input slower than a human. Pretty much defeats the purpose of using the computer unless you can’t do the speed run yourself.

there has been addons for years that are perfectly in TOS that people use for one button rotations as it’s not Automation as it requires a button press for each macro to fire.
