How did I not have this mega-troll on ignore, yet?
Oh well. Easily fixed.

The game needs Bernard and Charles.
He only spawned when somebody did the quest to make him.
You can build your strawman, and I acknowledge it’s existence, but I don’t care to engage with it. Cheers.
By design. MMO psychology is a documented and well understood field that sociopaths like Bobby Kottick regularly instruct their devs to incorporate into their game design.
LORD KAZZAK INVADES STORMWIND
That is life. food is a dopamine hit. so is sex. money. prayer. exercise. seeing things you like. being with people you like. humor. good movies. music. overcoming problems. personal achievements. art. all your senses and faculties are actively engaged in stimulating dopamine receptors
I mean going further than that, everything is just a series of particles. Kinda cynical but that’s reality.
which is why people like games, cause they’re effective dopamine stimulators
And they give the lowest of us an actual chance to succeed in something for once in our trash lives.
well i managed to have 3 children and a successful marriage (been married to same guy for 44 years), so i feel as if i’ve done a couple dopamine worthy achievements. hehe
That’s fair. Meanwhile I waa born with a pea for a brain and no capacity to learn or develop skills, and my education over the past 36 years has more than proven that.
But at least I can get drunk and play Devil May Cry.
no, i can tell by your vocabulary and writing prowess, that you are undercutting yourself. you seem intelligent and have insight, which means your brain is functioning quite well. my suggestion, if you dont mind if i don my mom hat for a moment, is to read up on george lucas’ idea for proper education:
he said schools are too specialized yet require you know too many things that either are irrelevant, or dont solve for an individual’s strengths and weaknesses. best to learn your niche and focus it. trade schools who focus are good.
As tempting as it is to continue this discussion it would derail the thread, so I’ll let it slide.
kk, so asmongold crashed vanilla classic servers, when he pulled a dragon to stormwind and 100,000+ people followed lol
I believe players had one aggroed on to a city after that they all got cancelled
Hate to break it to you…
But he’s still in the game. Only now he’s the ‘Lost Son of Arugal’
A bit weaker, but he still patrols all of Silverpine and can ambush you at the worst possible times, although if you’re paying attention you’ll always know he’s close because you’ll get a debuff called ‘A Chill Runs Up Your Spine’ when he’s wandering near you.
In theory, since undead live forever, if one gets caught in a landslide and manages to keep the vital parts intact…would they just live on, stuck under the rubble until somebody digs them out?
I do miss the roaming giant elites, especially if you can kite them. Many memories of dragging the felreaver to shattrath to fisticuff the naaru there.
I don’t know about areas in the world being straight up hard but I definitely think they should be more engaging. The open world content is WAAAAY too faceroll, especially if you have epic gear. They should keep you paying attention and strategize imo. Makes the world feel alive
I’d love if they snuck in a zone that’s not in beta and hasn’t been data mined that is extremely dangerous but has super cool things to find or achieve. Make it not raidable or flyable and only the strongest characters can hope to survive there.
I just think it’d be cool to have the mystery area that people try and fail to explore until later on when we gain enough power to chip away and find what’s in there.
It could just be an inconspicuous cave like any other that opens up into a large network but looks like nothing special from the entrance.
