No one responded to my last post so im trying again! Wowhead or Icy-Veins for BiS gears list? or you got something else better?
I swing a bit more towards WoWhead, personally.
i check both, but usually go with icy-veins. they are usually pretty similar though
in this case of affliction spec, the BIS gears is vastly different with exception of tier sets gears. so im like which one! 
maybe for other specs they’re same. I just wanna know which one is legit lol. Thank you for your response!
There are plenty of resources out there. Google is your best friend. Maybe try the actual places you mentioned first?
If you absolutely NEED an answer now then here it is:
Both Icy-Veins and Wowhead use almost the same authors for their guides. The pool of theorycrafters is much smaller than people think.
Wowhead is the official Wow companion site because of its longevity and database. Pretty much you should always play wow with wowhead opened on a tab to make life much easier.
With that being said, the best place to get up to date information on any class is the official DISCORDS. Learn them, love them, live them.
Three answers:
- Wowhead if you want a bog-standard basic build that will serve you well, but make you perform worse.
- Icy-Veins for the same reason as above, except you’ll also be laughed at.
- Sim your own gear, talents, and available gear to obtain from Dungeons, Raids, and Delves from sites like Raidbots.

I was going to ask- is anyone even doing the work anymore for theorycrafting in WoW these days like they used to?
Wowhead and Icy-Veins certainly aren’t.
It all seems to be cookie cutter builds - use this for Mythic A or this for Mythic B.
Delves are just Mythic A copy/pastes.
Is it any better on Discord or just another pinned single post?
wowhead keeps updating for longer. icy veins like to slack and let dust accumulate eventually.

Wowhead. Don’t even bother with Icyveins.
That being said, I highly suggest joining your class discord and using the resources they share there. You’ll find more detailed guides and help.
The versions of simcraft I’ve been getting, the nightly builds, have all said things like the actions aren’t done and the trinkets aren’t included. Stuff like that.
So I’ve been getting wonky numbers like 40k DPS and other stuff. Sometimes it’s even lower.
I’ll grab last nites version and see if it’s changed.
Been a while since I downloaded one.
also,why does simcraft need admin privilege’s to sim my toon?
SIM your own stuff and rely on your class discord. Often if not always the authors of those articles are active and well-known there.

Icy Veins has a decent community that will call out issues in those lists. I don’t spend much time on WoWhead other than for a quick understanding of a random quest so, can’t speak much to their community.
My honest suggestion:
Just try different talent builds and see how they sim. If you have a preference in how you play you may find something interesting and that works exceedingly well.
My warlock is my main again and for raids I’m supposed to be going Hellcaller but… having tested that, and ran the simulations, and then tried experimenting with my own stuff… Diabolist is better in single target, add cleave, adds, and M+.
It falls behind in pure cleave which is eminently understandable but even so it might do better if I try using Mayhem rather than Havoc. I haven’t tested that yet but, yeah.
Folks are theorycrafting and testing things but for sites like Wowhead, Icy-Veins, and other sites like that … they opt to report on what is supposed to be the best. Not necessarily what actually is the best.

Where are the server links at?
Each class has their own particular class-discord. Rogues have Ravenholdt, Shamans have the Earthshrine, Warlocks have the Council of the Black Harvest discords, and so on.
Googling your class then WoW and discord and you’ll find each one.
That’s the druid one.
