This is why I don’t main ele shaman. I know people want shamans to be “master of ALL of the elements”, but you don’t need both dps specs trying to do that imo. One could excel at harnessing the power of lightning and the other be more versatile.

The lightning build does use all of the elements in its core rotation. You have to use them all or your damage is poop.

It’s the fire build that’s very mono-element. It does sometimes use other elements as purely filler spells if they somehow run out of Lava Bursts to cast.

all elements for blizz is FIRE

there is tons of classes or specs that are all fire , locks , fire mage , DH (fel scarred spec is all about fire lol) and ofc shaman , because we end always with fire based tier bonuses.

Don’t forget Evokers with Flameshaper. You could count Herald of the Sun too if Holy Fire counts.

oh yeah forgot about evoker (and im playing one this season lol)

dont forget ranged dps specs head enchant , and the tons of items that proc on “shdow(fire)” dmg in DF , the mace , the ring and so on…

I know, I’m saying I want an option that primarily uses lightning like arcane mage uses primarily arcane. It doesn’t use 60% arcane 20% fire 20% frost, it’s 90% arcane you know?

They might as well make a lightning mage. Guarantee itd be better and get more attention being a mage spec.

if only we had a system to convert spells into other themed spells …

we could call it i dont know …glyphs? how that sounds

i was expecting hero specs to turn some skills into what the hero theme was about

but that too much i guess , small company u know.

Exactly. City of Heroes from like 2004 allowed you to colorize your powers/abilities. You’d think in 2024 Wow would have at least some limited version of ability themes for all specs/classes besides “green fire” warlocks.
