On what planet are feral druids even remotely balanced

oh oops 50% effect of a buff reduction, they’re still hitting for million+ in pvp on full pvp geared plate. nevermind the one button macros to instacast 4 buffs and spam abilities with zero counterplay: 11 abilities in 7 seconds easy.

to make up for what, exactly?

i’m saying this as a druid player. the discrepancies between top and bottom DPS are silly and even in organized team play the pressure a feral puts on is only remotely rivaled by maybe 2 other specs in the entire game.

compare this to balance. not even close

For the open world, feral druids have always been really good but that mostly comes down to the combination of stealth, instant mounting (travel form), and just general speed.

Druids are THE open world class and have been since vanilla.
As a druid, we can get away from anyone, and no one can get away from us.
Unless it’s an evoker over water, in which case they are untouchable.
Or a monk.
Or a rogue.

As far as actual combat goes, disregarding differences in skill, gear, and consumables, ferals have some key weaknesses. Namely, they have poor defenses. Stun them in cat form and they will melt. Use CC or your own defenses during incarn and they’ll be pretty weak afterwards.

But yes, if a feral catches you during incarn and you don’t have some good defenses or CC available they will blow you up, but that’s not really that different from many other specs either.
Also helps if you have a class with natural spam slows as part of your regular damage, such as frost mages or shadow priests. Feral druids can clear slows by shapeshifting but it costs a global to do so unless they are in range to use fluid form. They also only have 2 gap closers, one of them is short range and is their interrupt.

As far as ferals hitting plate for 1 million, yeah that can happen, but that’s also their only real damaging ability. Everything else in a bite build hits like a paper towel.

MY feral is squishy though. but yes, he can get lucky in pvp (epics) and shred TF outta a situation. But its situational, much like a rogue.
