My reference was meant to be about the reason segregated queues would be longer for twinks, and why I believe that segregation would still be for the best.
I didn’t intend it to be a comment on the current system.
And yes, I play Horde, I am aware of queue times
In fact, I played BGs before battle groups when it was per server so I really know what a queue is
Well I have pvp’d since classic. I’ve been through the twink phase then. The audience for wow has changed as the game evolved and the map got bigger. I twinked back in the day, I know what it is like to feel OP, camp GY’s etc.
As I have stated I don’t want the game to lose twinks if that is their thing. Just not at the expense of noobs trying to learn the game and pvp, they need to come up against a fair playing field. You will never convince me it is fair, I’ve been there done it.
Thats your opinion. The game did not die when there was no XP in BGs, Plenty of twinks queing all the time, nor did it have a lack of players queing up to PvP because of twinks. New players see twinks, says to themselves “Wow that looks cool, i should make one of those too.” Looks like twinks add depth to a elaborate Mmorpg.
Yep, but common sense is strong in me. Okay here’s a perfect scenario. AB, our team is outplayed (Alliance split and defend bases fairly well) Here is my chat: https://imgur.com/a/0NwbeH5 Here is ending scoreboard: https://imgur.com/a/0jkAAly
And yes, my dmg is terrible as I was trying to keep bases. Road warriors are FAR worse than twinks (and twinks were even blamed for being on the other team LOL!)
https://imgur.com/a/ciw9Ovn Level 20+ BGs… few good ones, couple rough ones. I do believe that is more the spec than who we faced though. Did well on teams with decent players (not twinks but people who know how to wow) All in all, not a terrible experience again.
You shut your talk piece (j/k)… battle grounds with out experience were a great way for people to compete, get it compete. Since the introduction of xp in bgs the competition might as well have been thrown out the window. You can practically afk every bg you enter, win or lose and still level a character up. No one to compete aginst there.
Why does the argument against separating xp on from xp off always end up with why make the twinks suffer longer queues? Keep in mind that back then battle groups complicated the queue times. Now there aren’t any, so twinks would have no problem coming together and getting queues to pop. Legit. The only real concern is that the twink community is so small and varied that the lack of playerbase would kill the concept (for PvP anyways). There is no reason in the current version of WoW to not have the xp on and xp off separated. It would benefit the people actually “playing” the game.
If you turn off your XP, you’re in your own queue. If you’re foolish enough to keep your XP on as a twink…that’s what “Report Myninja afk, he’s a twink, doesn’t care about your win at all” is for.
And yes, it works. I’ve done it before. I’ll do it again.
Well, seems like we’re not going to have to worry about that since blizzard is continuing to balance items that need tuning. So you go right ahead and continue with your hatred for twinks but we’re not going anywhere.
