On the Verge of Switching Covenants

Hello,

This is my first time on the fourms asking a question so I am in high hopes I will get elaborate and intuitive answers from everyone!

As the title suggest, I am thinking about switching covenants. I am currently a Venthyr ret paladin and thinking about switching to Kyrian (to join 91.786758%) of all other paladins).

I do really enjoy the current storyline I am in. I love the amor sets and the Venthyr ability does melt face in PvE (not so much pvp because yah know… people move). In PvP, when it does it hit, I have great success but I cant help but listen to the min/max’er deep within me. I see almost all high ranked PvP’ers going Kyrian so there has to be a good reason they are all going towards DT. I do intend to keep progressing through PvE but I do enjoy PvP a bit more. I see SO many Youtube PvP videos of “ReT pALadIN RecKS N00bS w/ oNE SHoT KyRiaN DT BurST wINdoW” and it does look fun as hell.

So my question to you all is, do you think its worth staying as my current choice and waiting for blizzard to eventually even abilities out or are their intended functions already set in stone? Do we have reasonable suspicion that Kyrians DT is going to be hit by the Blizzard Nerf Bat soon?

Just go kyrian and never look back.

I tried to hang on to Venthyr for as long as I could and finally switched to Kyrian, for PvE. Gave up hope waiting for Blizzard to do balancing, it’s IF and WHEN. I’d say, just do it and if you hate it, you can switch back right before/after a reset so it only takes a couple days. If they nerf DT, so many paladins will be mad. Not to mention, DT is one among many of the balance issues for classes and covenants. If they balance, it’ll be a lot of changes and probably a bigger patch.
