So while you get new recipes with new seasons, does your “skill” in profs stay the same for the expansion? As in, if I got to 100 in Blacksmithing and worked up all my skills (i don’t know what they are per se), it would stay that way going into S3 as well?
I’ve never bothered with them really, always happy to tip others to do the dirty work for me, but thinking about trying to play catch up. But if it’s a seasonal reset thing, I don’t have time for that lol
They don’t reset seasonally. You keep your skill unless you unlearn the profession, and knowledge points will be retained even if you do unlearn and relearn a profession. The only time that you will have less progress is when the new expansion comes out, with a new profession knowledge tree.

If you max out your profession in S1 and can R5 everything at the max level in S1, you don’t need to do any extra work, you’d be able to do the same in S2 and S3 without changing anything, there is no new profession equipment, there are no new nodes to spend knowledge on, materials and quality requirements remain the same.
There might be new patterns, but they still follow the same rules as the rest of things.
